The route which links Wolfisheim and Mittelhausbergen runs alongside the fortified ring of the Alsatian metropole. Beyond Pfulgriesheim, begins the Kochersberg, the "grainstore" of Alsace. The large expanses of land covered by crops are punctuated by round hills. Numerous villages are scattered around this region, which is also known as '"tarte flambée" country. They have preserved some handsome rural buildings from the 16th and 19th centuries. The vines appear from Osthoffen-Dahlenheim onwards and stretch over the Mossig hills, on the slopes of Mont Scharrach. Numerous plain castles line the Val de Bruche valley: at Ernolsheim-sur-Bruche, Kolbsheim, Breuschwickersheim, ... The return route to Wolfisheim follows the banks of the Mossig, then the Bruche Canal built by Vauban to carry the stones necessary for the construction of the citadel of Strasbourg.

Long-distance hiking trail linking Place Stanislas in Nancy to Place Kléber in Strasbourg over 205km, marked out by the Club Vosgien and the FFRP . Museum Gaspar is housed in the residence of the middle-class family Gaspar from Arlon who had set up in this house (1893) that was built in 1842. It was renovated in 2004. The two most famous members of this family are animal sculptor Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931) and Charles Gaspar (1971-1950) who was a photographer and a sponsor. He gave his house to the town of Arlon on the condition they make a museum of it, dedicated to his brother's work and that put into honour the history and the heritage of Arlon. At the first floor, theree are two restored salons identical to a middle-class salon from the early 20th century that show Jean-Marie Gaspar's sculptures. and the art and picture collection of Charles Gaspar. The rest of the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of the museum that alternates artv and history. A religion room shows collections about the abbey of Orval and to the people's devotion at the 18th century, and also relics from the ancient Saint-Martin church. But the Masterpiece is the famous altarpiece Retable de Fisenne - a 16th century masterpiece from the Antwerp school. It was bought in 1893 by a middle-class family from Arlon, the family Gaspar. Jean Gaspar (1861-1931) was a sculptor. He was trained by the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambeaux. His works are in bronze and in plaster and they are exhibited in the salons that have been restorated as they were in his house. His brother Charles (1871-1950) was a photographer, a collector and a sponsor. He gave this house to the town of Arlon. It hosts the library of the Archaeological Institute of the Belgian Province of Luxembourg and its secretary office since 1954. A wide part of the museum is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions about art and history of Arlon.

Rich in the Gallo-Roman past of Arlon, the museum houses an impressive collection that bears witness to the daily life of this period.One of the peculiarities of the museum is its imposing and rich lapidary collection, composed of several dozen fragments of ancient funerary monuments.These blocks and the objects from Roman craftsmanship will teach you more about daily life at that time.

This viewpoint offers you a unique panorama of the Altenberg of Wolxheim, the famous Grand Cru of the village! In good weather, you can even see the Strasbourg Cathedral behind the Horn. Accessible via the Wolxheim Wine Trail and the Poets' Trail.

Located between Ergersheim and Furdenheim, on the site of the former village of Altbronn. Altbronn, or Altbrunne (literally the "Old Fountain"), used to be a flourishing hamlet in the early Middle-Ages. The village disappeared during the first half of the 14th century, due to civil wars and the plague. The only thing left was the church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, built by Bishop Guillaume de Diest during his pilgrimage in 1397 (inscription embedded in a stone slab, on the South side of the chapel). In the 15th and 16th centuries, the sanctuary respectively entered a period of prosperity and decline.Then, Bishop Jean de Manderscheidt entrusted the place of pilgrimage to the Jesuits who administered a school in Molsheim at the time. Altbronn was abandoned in 1765, when the State closed down the Jesuit school. In 1883, the chapel was bought by the parish council of Ergersheim. Since then, the influx of pilgrims never ceased to increase. When the Cistercians from Oelenberg, better known as the Trappistines, settled into Ergersheim in 1895, they borrowed the chapel's name for their monastery built in the town center. A few steps from the site of pilgrimage is St. Anne's spring, where miracles have been recorded by the Jesuits since the 16th century. It was supposed to help mothers avoid health complications during pregnancy.

Perched at an altitude of 264 metres, the Horn viewpoint offers a breathtaking view of the village of Wolxheim and the Alsace plain. In good weather, the Vosges mountains are visible, as well as the Cathedral of Strasbourg!

This Neo-Gothic church still possesses its Romano-Gothic steeple and inner sanctum. Inside the building stand a 16th century reliquary bust of St. Amandus and a Silbermann organ from 1762. The church is only open to the public during services. Closed to the public except for services. Please contact the Town Hall for more information.

The Wolxheim vineyard is famous for its famous Riesling. In addition to the Grand Cru Altenberg, all grape varieties are represented here. A vineyard path runs through the vineyard. In the heart of the vineyards stands the statue of the Sacred Heart.

This house was built by the Muller-Simonis family, a clan based in Wolxheim, who used to supply the Napoleonic armies. It has a huge cellar, showing how keen the family was on the regional wines. Today, the building houses the town hall.

The purpose of this mansion was to accommodate the bourgeois families who came to enjoy the waters in Soultz-les-Bains. In 1949, the priests of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit purchased the building and turned it into a retirement home. Private property, cannot be visited.

The Dam of Avolsheim, also nicknamed "Small and large gates", was built in 1682 on the artificial waterway of the Bruche designed by French architect Sébastien Vauban. This channel was used to transport sandstone blocks from the quarries of Soultz-les-Bains and Wolxheim to the city of Strasbourg, during the construction of its citadel. The dam was there to keep the water level high enough to supply the nearby canal. This impressive piece of work, with its gates, supplies the channel in water from the Bruche river. The location has not been chosen by accident since it is here that a small tribute, the Mossig river, flows into the Bruche. When the latter is flooded, a portion of the overflow goes into the river bed of the Mossig. Downstream, both banks of the Bruche are made of flood risk areas such as meadows, called "rieds", which are unbuildable.
