A seaside resort with its Thalasso and casino dating back to the end of the 19th century, Luc-sur-Mer is the ideal place to come and recharge your batteries. Stroll to the end of the pier to enjoy the view of the coast. During your walk, you will be surprised by an unusual discovery as you enter the Municipal Park. You will come face to face with a 19-metre long whale skeleton that was washed up on the beach in 1885. You will also walk along the valley of La Capricieuse by taking the pedestrian path, a pleasant and bucolic walk. In season, historical guided tours are regularly offered. Stretching over 33 hectares, from Douvres-la-Délivrande to the seafront at Luc-sur-Mer, the Capricieuse valley has a greenway that follows the Capricieuse stream A real green artery by the sea, this accessible walk, 2.5 kilometres long (5 kilometres round trip), follows the stream of the Capricieuse. We invite you to follow this peacefully flowing stream. During this walk, meet the friendly inhabitants of the Capricieuse. Sheep, horses and donkeys welcome you and approach you as you pass. As you pass by the shared orchard, enjoy the smell of the fruit trees in bloom. Once you reach the end of the valley, you arrive at the waterfront. This greenway follows the former route of the railway line linking Caen to Courseulles-sur-Mer from 1875 to 1950.

Come and take a stroll through the centuries in Dover-la-Délivrande. Old land of passage and occupation for many centuries, you will discover throughout your journey the rich heritage of Dover and its great history. You will walk in the footsteps of the many pilgrims who came to the Délivrande in the past to pay homage to the Black Virgin. The Barony, witness of the medieval importance of the town is the final bouquet of this walk. You will go back in time to the 13th century. A guaranteed "Coup de Coeur"!

Do you want to escape from the seaside? A few kilometres from the coast are two villages where you can recharge your batteries and marvel at the beauty of the area! Set in time, the village of Plumetot charms us with its old stones and its narrow streets (Plumetot only had streets until 1985!). A true rural stopover in the Terres de Nacre, its green lanes offer a panorama of the sea as well as the countryside and are a good place to go for a walk with your family or with a four-legged friend. Take a stroll to its neighbour, Cresserons. Its architecture and its religious past are surprising. It was once a Protestant village, but today only vestiges of that era remain! Nevertheless, go through the door of the Church of Saint Jacques and you will be amazed.

You are 13km from the spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne and in the Normandie-Maine Regional Nature Park. You'll love the hiking trails and the nearby Véloscénie cycle route linking Paris to Mont Saint Michel. If you fancy a spot of fishing, there are plenty of opportunities in the village, with lakes and trout in the river.

If you're looking for a wellness break in an unspoilt natural setting, with friends or family, the Moulin de Cordouen, between Mayenne and Orne, offers a quality service with its sauna and Nordic bath on the River Mayenne. Optional: cleaning (120€), if you do not select this option when booking, a cleaning cheque must be deposited on arrival and returned at the end of your stay if the cleaning is completed. Rocky beach bordered by the ‘Confessionaux’ cliffs - the ideal spot for shellfish gathering and for collecting fossils. It offers a unique view over the Côte de Nacre and Côte Fleurie coastlines.

Situated to the west of the beach at Lion sur mer, the Confessionnaux cliff is a unique and wild natural area. The caves, formed by the onslaught of the tides, offer an unusual sight, to be admired from afar. Indeed, the risk of landslides forbids approaching less than ten metres. This cliff is a geological and palaeontological site of international reference for the Upper Bathonian period (165 million years ago). Small quantities of fossils may be collected, but only on the beach, several metres from the cliff. As an added bonus, dogs are allowed on this part of the beach all year round.

Fine sandy beach under lifeguard surveillance and lined with remarkable 19th and early 20th century villas. Marvel at the unrestricted views over the Côte de Nacre coastline as far as Ouistreham and along the Côte Fleurie.

From Lion-sur-Mer to Hermanvile-sur-Mer, the elegant villas built by rich 19th century families, offer a great diversity of styles. They are a fine illustration of a century of seafront architecture. Don’t miss La Bleuette, a listed historic monument.

Built in the 16th century by the Hüe de Caligny family, the manor house, nicknamed "The Castle", stood near the Romanesque church, on the supposed site of an old castle. Abandoned and then destroyed at the beginning of the 19th century, there are still some remains of it today, including the Monument Portail. The coat of arms on the pediment was allegedly hammered during the Revolution.

In the early 19th century, M. Arcisse de Caumont, one of the founders of modern archaeology, owned a seafront house in Luc. In 1879, it became a maritime laboratory. Not open to the public

In the municipality of Luc-sur-Mer, which belonged to the abbeys, there were buildings characterized by double entrance gates, one large for carts and one small for horsemen and pedestrians. Only one of these verandas remains: it is located on Rue de l'Abbé Vengeon and overlooks the courtyard of the Carmelites.

For the construction of the Saint-Quentin church in 1873, a major project of the Abbot Vengeon, the Romanesque church that had been erected in the 17th century was destroyed. The bell tower is the only vestige of it. This tower was accessed from the inside of the church nave through a small door that is still visible today. Inside the church is a double-sided cross with a base dated 1662 but which seems to date from the Renaissance. This cross is classified.

On the "East" side, the fishermen's jetty, extending the breach of the marsh, was imported from the outer harbour of Ouistreham in 1971. It has become a must for anglers.

The bell tower is the only remnant of the 12th century Romanesque church. There is a second 13th century Gothic level. The former church was destroyed in 1873 in order to build this new church in Romanesque-Byzantine revival style. The cross inside the church dates back to 1662 and represents the Christ on the cross on one side and the Virgin Mary on the other. Closed except for religious services.

Our tearoom is open from Wednesday to Sunday, serving homemade, local and organic cuisine, to be enjoyed on deckchairs in the garden or indoors on sofas by the fire. Every afternoon, we serve homemade pastries of the day, accompanied by hot or cold drinks, as well as crêpes and ice cream sundaes. On Wednesday and Thursday lunch is also available, with a single course, and on Friday it's pancake night. Everything is homemade and seasonal, as local and organic as possible. We select our products with care and work with l'Arbuste Café, BioCoop, Les Glaciers Normands, brasserie Les Deux Amants, Flore Norman? And last but not least, Sundays are brunch: an all-you-can-eat buffet. It includes a breakfast section (ultra-good bread, viennoiseries, butter, spreads, etc.), a savoury section (charcuterie, local cheeses), a sweet section (cereals, cakes of the day, pancakes), and hot and cold drinks. Les Briques also has 3 other spaces: a coworking area, a coliving area and a wood workshop. > Coworking... teleworking by the sea Our coworking space is open from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 7pm. It is equipped with 20 open-space workstations, and a meeting room for 5 with a 4K television to guarantee confidentiality. Twelve workstations are spread over two large tables, and eight workstations are located high up on two "standing-desks" along the bay windows. The wooden furniture was custom-made in our workshop. A laser printer, high-speed Wi-Fi, 24' screens (HDMI or USB-C) and unlimited hot beverages complete our offer. In fine weather, you can also enjoy the garden, covered by Wi-Fi. > Coliving Coliving, literally "co-living", simply means "living together". In concrete terms, you have your own cabin, you share common spaces (large kitchen, living room, bathroom, coworking space, terrace, garden) and you do activities with the community (visits, walks, cycling, sailing, kayaking, paddle?). Every Saturday evening, there's a family dinner with all the colivers. Unlike a shared apartment, everything is ready when you arrive: sheets on the bed, towels, everything is included! At Les Briques, we have paid particular attention to aesthetics and ambience: the use of wood in the entirely bespoke fittings, the conservation of existing raw materials, and the presence of stoves in the kitchen and coworking area create an immediately warm atmosphere. Coliving is located on the first floor of Les Briques, which is entirely dedicated to it: this is where the dormitory, sanitary facilities, kitchen and lounge are located. This is your space. > L'Atelier Bois From January 2024, we will be offering individual and group woodworking courses, as well as personalized support for small and medium-sized woodworking projects. Jean, co-founder of Les Briques and a carpentry teacher for twenty years, who designed the interiors of the coliving and coworking facilities and our tea room, will run the courses in our fully-equipped woodworking workshop, ideally located on site.
