This 7.3 km circuit allows you to discover the charming commune of Pressigny, its heritage and its landscapes.

Departing from the church in Aubigny, you'll set off on a 15 km trail of moderate difficulty. Most of the route is on farm tracks, with stretches in the undergrowth, and a few short stretches require careful footing. There's a nice straight stretch on the way, which will make you work on your perseverance! You'll pass close to the Château de la Roche Faton, with its splendid view. You'll also discover a rich heritage with numerous wash-houses, wayside crosses and a dovecote.

Departing from the church in Lhoumois, you set off on a 10 km trail of easy difficulty. This course is aimed at beginners who are ready to progress to a higher level of difficulty. You'll ride mainly on wide paths and stretches of road, with many single-track sections requiring concentration and agility. This route will take you to the Forge à Fer on the banks of the Thouet, a place of great historical interest.

Departing from the Gourgé village hall, you'll set off on a 27 km red difficulty trail. It's a really interesting route, both in terms of scenery and technical difficulty, as you alternate constantly between asphalt and paths. The route is a real pain in the ass, with numerous ascents and descents. You'll cross the River Thouet several times at ford crossings, so be careful not to slip in the water! This route can be split in two by cutting through the village. A 13 km loop to the south and a 14 km loop to the north.

This 5.4 km circuit allows you to discover the heritage of the commune of Oroux, in particular its 2 castles (privately owned), and offers pretty views from the car park next to the village castle.

The Mollets quarry, owned by the Parthenay-Gâtine Community of Municipalities and developed and managed in partnership with the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, was exploited from the end of the 19th century until 1950 to produce limestone. It is now protected and developed so that young and old alike can marvel at a 160 million year old heritage. The interpretation trail allows you to discover the close links between geology, landscape, biodiversity and human activities! Various activities are offered throughout the year by the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels de Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the association l'Homme et la Pierre.

Come and discover the fauna and flora of the largest lake in the Deux-Sèvres department, which is both a drinking water reserve (a water treatment plant is associated with the dam) and an ornithological reserve. Property of the Conseil général des Deux-Sèvres, the Cébron lake offers a multitude of landscapes changing with the seasons. It presents an important biological richness and shelters in particular numerous species of birds. Come and discover its biodiversity by taking advantage of the many nature activities offered on the site (nature outings, exhibitions, hiking, fishing, sailing...)! Starting from the lake of Cébron, take pleasure in discovering the fauna and flora of the Thouet valley and let yourself be surprised by the built heritage of this area. A 32 km loop which can be combined with the 28 km loop which starts from the same place (Loop 7).

In the village of Marnes, on the border between the Deux-Sèvres and Vienne departments, an old dairy was built in 1907. Restored in keeping with the authenticity of the site, the dairy overlooks a hiking trail called "La Sente Divine", which runs alongside the river Dive. This charming gîte on the banks of the river Dive, in the hamlet of Retournay, lies between Marnes and Moncontour. Once a water mill where several generations of millers succeeded one another, this workplace has been transformed over time into a haven of peace. La villa des Licoches, housed in an old 13th-century building, features a large living room with fireplace, fully-equipped kitchenette, sitting area, shower room and separate toilet on the first floor. Upstairs, 4 bedrooms, 3 with two single beds that can be made into a double bed and one with a double bed, a bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet. Bicycles available. Near the chevet of the church is the dovecote in the presbytery garden. Isolated and square in plan, this dovecote, which has been entirely restored, has the advantage of preserving an interior revolving ladder, allowing the collection of eggs or squabs. Built at the beginning of the 18th century, the space is divided into four zones with a total of 400 bolt holes, allowing for 800 pigeons.

Mentioned at the end of the 11th century, the church was given to the abbey of Talmond by Aldéarde Roux de Parthenay. Burned in 1569 by the Protestants, it was restored a few years later, then in 1743, and finally in 1835 thanks to the generosity of General d'Autichamp. It was entirely rebuilt from 1871 to 1874, on the initiative of Abbot Lalu and Mayor Pierre Dabin, and thanks to the financing of the inhabitants and the lords of Le Porteau, the Marquis of Maussabré and Mr. de Mérinville. The church is clear and simple, with a cruciform plan and a flat chevet, with a bell tower-porch topped by a slate-covered spire. The axial bay of the choir is occupied by a stained glass window made in 1873 by the Guérithault brothers, from Poitiers, depicting the saints Simon and Jude, patrons of the donor Simon Jude de Pidoux. The originality of the church of Aubigny lies in its stained glass window

The name of Brangeard comes from an old parlanjhe verb "branger", meaning to plow a field after the harvest and to leave it uncultivated during the winter. It is the most important washhouse of the village and the only one covered. Restored very recently by the municipality, it dates from the 19th century. Rectangular, it is fed by a spring protected by a small stone shelter outside the building. But it is also fed by rainwater thanks to its impluvium roof. The roof allowed the rainwater to flow into the central basin while protecting the washerwomen.

This "Espace Naturel Sensible" is a remarkable example of a dry abandoned meander in the valley of the Gâteau, a tributary of the Thouet. The very regular shape of the Cirque de Seneuil and its 30 m drop make it a very picturesque site. Le Chillou is a very pleasant village because of its quietness, enjoy a picnic area in this green setting. A few steps away, discover the arboretum.

This 15th century dwelling is a rectangular building flanked to the west by a large, one-storey, truncated circular tower and to the east by a watchtower on brackets, later transformed into a dovecote. The façades are pierced with mullioned windows. Two bretêches, carried by brackets and decorated with trilobes, defend the primitive accesses. The interior retains a spiral staircase with a square stairwell, as well as medieval fireplaces.

On November 16, 1939, it was decided to set up a Polish army camp on the Veluché site, on the edge of the Airvault commune, on land that today belongs to the cement works. The land was requisitioned from private individuals at the time. The official name of the camp was "Camp de circonstance de Saint-Loup-sur-Thouet", which was to be used for the incorporation and training of 32,000 fighting units of the 2nd and 4th Polish divisions. Once the units had been formed, they were distributed to neighboring farms to undergo the necessary military training. The Veluché camp served as a base camp and military depot for all these units. Two books have been published on this subject: Un Camp en Deux-Sèvres, 1939-1941, by Mattieu Manceau & Airvaudais-Val du Thouet, miroir de la seconde guerre mondiale, by Souvenir Français, on sale.

The mound is not dated but it would probably have served as a landmark during one of the wars of religion. It would shelter corpses or even chests with difficult access. But what intrigues the most is the legend about it under this mound would hide a horse or a statue of the Virgin in gold but nobody has ever found one of these objects. It would be the oldest Neolithic monument named but not recognized in the Deux-Sèvres. The tumulus was classified as a Historic Monument in 1970.

Mentioned as early as 1179, burnt down in 1417, the Château de Guy de La Rochefaton was rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries by Mathurin Pidoux. In the 17th century, the Vassé family endeavored to transform the castle accesses. They designed formal or "French" gardens, constructed common grounds on the sides in the place of fortified walls and set up salons in accordance with the fashions of the times. Charles Marie Auguste de Beaumont, future marquis of Autichamp, celebrated Vendée general, generalissimo of the Catholic et royal armies of Anjou and Haut-Poitou, reposes in the Saint Nicolas chapel.
