Perched at the foot of the famous Blue Mountain, the Sainte-Victoire, this former mining village, partly restored, has been built next to the railway station and the railway line. In the the village’s steep streets, admire the medieval remains and go under beautiful antique doors. As it is often the case in Aix, you will spot “Cézanne’s mountain” points of view; the mythic mountain, like waves of mineral foam bounding the red and black Arc Basin. The highest sites of the municipality offer breathtaking views of the Mont Sainte-Victoire’s Pic des Mouches (1 100m).

Forget your feet, as this walk requires a nose! Jouques is a rural hilltop village north of Sainte-Victoire. It offers beautiful views of the Concors and Ubacs Mountains! The tour takes you on shaded paths going through pine forest and scented herbs fields. Make your way relishing the colors and the typical scents of Provence: thyme, rosemary and lavender ... During the tour, stop at the Holy Trinity Chapel to admire the scenery and its wild nature and before returning to the village, visit the Saint-Vincent Moulin, the lavender distillery and the olive oil mill.

The village of Gréasque, a former mining town benefits from a privileged location between Aix, Marseille and Aubagne. In the village center, beautiful gardens have been set up in the sixteenth century castle’s area that belonged to the family de Castellane. The mining museum is locatet within the Hély Oissel wells. The forests of the Communal Domain which extend to Europe’s oldest mining town’s remains offer pleasant walks, and can be explored by mountain bike or on horseback.

At the heart of the protected Montaiguet hills, 100m away from the bridge of the Three Sautets painted by Cézanne, with the Sainte-Victoire Mountain as a backdrop, follow the painter’s footprints to reach the Arc River. Behold the landscapes and colors just like the painter experienced them along the hiking trail. Feel intensely the presence of the master, in his human simplicity and finish this journey IVV enjoying the tranquility of the river banks. 83km long, the Arc is a small river that takes its source in the village of Pourcieux (Var) and flows into the Etang de Berre. A must-see in Sainte-Baume! A genuine trove of natural, cultural and landscaped treasures. With your back to the Sainte-Baume Tourist & Discovery Area, cross the road to the corner of the “Parking de l'Hostellerie Est” (information sign), on your left. 1- Facing the Sainte-Baume mountains, take GR9® (red and white markings) going due south, via the trail leading to the forest. After the wooden bridge, take Allée Royale on your right.2- At the junction with the Compagnons du Devoir obelisk, start climbing Chemin du Canapé, to your left. At the intersection with Chemin de Giniez (pole), turn left in the direction of Grotte de Sainte Marie-Madeleine (Mary Magdalene's cave) and go past a first oratory. 3- At the “Oratoire” junction (pole), continue the climb on your right until you reach the stairs and then Mary Magdalene's cave. Taking the same route, descend to the Carrefour de l'Oratoire junction. Then start the climb on your right (GR®9). Go past the Chapelle des Parisiens chapel and continue to the Col du Saint-Pilon pass (952 m). 4- Take GR98® on your right and stay on the trail amidst the limestone pavements until you reach the Chapelle du Saint-Pilon chapel. Then take the same route back to the Carrefour de l'Oratoire junction (point 3). 3- Turn right and continue the descent via Chemin des Roys, following the yellow markings. Pass by the Source de Nans spring and stay on the main path. 5- At the Placette des Trois Chênes plot, with your back to the sign, take Allée Royale on the far left to the wooden bridge you took earlier and head back to the starting point. VARIANT: After visiting the sanctuary of Mary Magdalene's cave, go back down to the Carrefour de l'Oratoire junction (point 3) and continue the descent via Chemin des Roys until you reach the Placette des Trois Chênes plot (point 5) and directly return to the starting point.

Simiane is the oldest village in the Bouches-du-Rhône located on the northern slope of the Chaîne de l’Etoile. Discover the astonishing richness of its fauna and flora by moving closer to the canyon walls with its canopy of flowers. Before heading back to the village, look up to your left, to the Rock of Castrum and catch a glimpse of the Clock Tower. It was an ancient watchtower built in the 13th century. You can visit the of St. Peter Parish Church built in the 18th century, before stopping at the 18th century castle transformed as a City Hall.

With this three and a half hours tour, close to Aix downtown, you will have a taste of Pertuis’ quality of life, a town in the country. From the Tourist Office, go down south of the city then take the path along the canal. Water-rich land, it has many beautiful mansions along the way. You will also see, besides the valley landscapes, the hills of the Three Brothers, the Concors and ... the Sainte- Victoire Mountain in the distance. But the pearl of the walk is yet to come with the beautiful paddlewheel. There, the source of drinking water will quench your thirst before heading towards the vines landscapes. Pertuis can be explored on foot and offers a stunning landscape environment.

Through landscapes and repopulated villages in the valley of Aigues, discover the marks of the disciples of Waldo. With your back to the castle entrance, turn right in the Boulevard de la République (D956). 180m away, go left on a pedestrian crossing (cycling sign). Pass the middle school then at the roundabout take the 2nd right (Chemin du Piedmont). Further down, reach the D120 and take a right for 200m. 1- At the intersection, turn right towards Saint-Martin-de-la-Brasque (D165). At the Y, stay on the left. At the entrance of the village, turn right and go through the large car park. At the corner of the town hall, turn left and proceed straight until the D27. 2- Turn right and take the Route de Grambois (D27). 1.5km further, turn left towards Tourrache and take a quick left onto the paved road of the Grandes Terres. Come out on the D42. 3- Turn right on the D42 until Peypin-d'Aigues. Then come back to point 3. Continue straight on 350m and turn left towards Fontjoyeuse (D42a). Take the 2nd intersection to the right, Rue de la Bergerie. Turn right and then left twice. Take the Rue de Vignes to the right. Follow the D42 to the left. After 300m, turn right on the Chemin des Baysses. Continue on the Chemin des Micouliets. Turn left towards Belle Etoile, then follow the Chemin de Langresse. Take the D27 to the right to Motte-d'Aigues. Go through the village and go until the stadium. 4 - Turn right and head towards Cabrières-d'Aigues (D120). 200m after a big left turn, turn right on the Chemin des Grès. At the Y, turn left, go down the Rue des Jourdans, then turn right onto the Rue des Jardins. 100m further, turn left (at the bridge) anc continue to the left. Before the church, go to the right. At the fountain, climb left, then continue to the right on the Rue des Vaudois. 5- At the crossroads, continue across on the Chemin des Palons. At the next intersection, continue straight on the Chemin de Roubian. Further down, stay to the right. After the hamlet of Lataud, take the Chemin des Mascarades to the left. At the Y, turn left and 200m further, turn left on the Chemin d'Entraigues. Before the roundabout (garbage bins), turn left on the Chemin de la Palonne. Come out the D27 and follow it to the left. 6- At the roundabout, continue straight and follow the Etang de la Bonde (D27). At the 1st crossing, turn right on the D37 towards La Tour-d'Aigues. 2.5km further, take the Chemin des Huguenots to the right. Cross the D135 and continue across. Continue straight to the next crossing. 7- At the intersection "l'Archibaude" (sign-post), turn left towards the Tour-d'Aigues. Take the Chemin de Septem and then the Chemin Le Plan. Come out on the D956, turn left on Rue Antoine de Très. After the church, turn right and return to the castle of La Tour d'Aigues.

The restaurant of the Bastide de La Salette is located in an idyllic setting at the foot of the green. It offers a gastronomic cuisine and a bistro formula. The different rooms open onto a terrace shaded by hundred-year-old plane trees. The restaurant offers a prestigious reception structure for receptions (weddings...) and seminars. Afterwork until 7 pm every day with different aperitif boards. From December 26 to January 2, 2022, the restaurant will be closed, only the bar will be open with snacking to take away.

Château-Gombert is a district on the outskirts of Marseille that has retained its Provencal village feel, with a square lined with plane trees and narrow streets. The village also boasts a number of local shops (supermarket, bakery, restaurants, cafés, etc.). Thanks to the bus routes that cross the village and connect to the metro, you can be on La Canebière in half an hour. The village is bordered by pleasant rolling hills.
