At the gateway to the Périgord Noir and overlooking the Vézère valley, this exceptional site is located in the middle of the Sarlat Rocamadour and Pompadour triangle. The house has eight different rooms: comfortable double rooms, family rooms for three to four people with terraces, and a suite of character in the Tower. All are equipped with large bathrooms. Church dedicated to St-Pierre-ès-Liens. It dates from the 12th century. Its wall-belfry is a typical example of the region's places of worship. The austerely simple interior features a 17th-century gilded wooden altarpiece and a choir with five carved capitals dating from the 12th century.

At the top of the Puy d'Yssandon, at the entrance to the small village perched at an altitude of 360 metres, the silhouette of a tower can be seen. The site has long been known for its strategic defensive position: a Gallic oppidum is said to have existed here, and Pepin le Bref confronted Waïfre the Duke of Aquitaine in the 8th century. But this imposing tower is the last vestige of a medieval castle that was destroyed during the Hundred Years' War in the 15th century. Today, picnic tables allow visitors to take a break and enjoy the mounded landscape and panoramic views of the Puy's surroundings.

The 12th-century Romanesque church is located on the outskirts of the village, at Puy d'Yssandon: bell tower-wall, hemicycle choir adorned with arcatures, sculpted nativity scenes. Free admission, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Puy d'Yssandon offers a remarkable panorama encompassing the Brive Basin, the Monédières, the Monts d'Auvergne, the Causses and the Périgord plateaux, all of which can be seen from the orientation table. The plateau at the top of the hill offers many vantage points, including the remains of the old feudal enclosure. The lower slopes are planted with walnut trees, while the steeper parts are colonized by downy oaks and pines; on the southern and eastern slopes, the forest is less dominant, leaving wide-open spaces for meadows, vines, plums and walnut trees.
