Starting at the Place du Gravier on the banks of the Garonne, this route allows you to discover this two thousand year-old town’s historical sites by following the 19 special signs.

Starting at the Place du Gravier on the banks of the Garonne, pedal past the historical areas of Agen before joining the Ermitage plateau and its viewpoint over the town.

From the small village of Pinel, climb the steep hillside of Pech de Pasture. You'll discover a sensitive natural area (ENS) with a wealth of protected flora and fauna, preserved by the Conservatoire d?espaces naturels de Nouvelle-Aquitaine. As the site is private, please keep to the path and keep dogs on a leash!

The departure and arrival of this circuit are on a communal road lined with orchards at the start, on a little frequented departmental road at the return. Many points of view will make you discover the many perched villages around.

In the first part of this circuit, you will discover the banks of the lake of Loubet. From the church of Cabannes, a long climb leads to the promontory village of Montastruc (360° panorama). The woods of Farinelles will bring a little freshness, before the golf course and the last ascent towards Tombeboeuf.

Discover Lac du Loubet. Follow the banks of the reservoir for a refreshingly easy stroll, and take advantage of this moment of tranquillity to observe the surrounding flora and fauna.

This circuit starts at the foot of Monclar, in the Tolzac valley. It follows the edge of the hill which marks the limit of the Lot valley, planted with numerous orchards where the master of the place, the plum tree of Ente, dominates.

Saint-Pastour stretches along the right bank of the Lot. The village is built on a clay and limestone soil, with a chaotic relief. Founded by Alphonse de Poitiers between 1250 and 1259, the bastide of Saint-Pastour crowns a narrow and elongated "pech", dominating the surrounding countryside. The numerous conflicts that threatened the country in the 14th and 15th centuries prompted the bastide to protect itself by building ramparts and fortified buildings. The protective walls were preserved until the 19th century, and the town still has traces of the ramparts and several defensive buildings, such as the old town gate crowned with a statue of Joan of Arc, an old well near the church and a wooden market hall. It is surrounded by a covered way dominated by the remains of the feudal castle.

The town hall of Monbahus has developed the site of the Butte de la Vierge. The path gives you the opportunity to climb the hill, overlooking the village, to discover a 360 ° panorama. Take advantage of the wooden benches and platforms, to rest and discover the surrounding landscapes. The walk on a simple mowed strip in the meadow, will make you discover a natural habitat, with many different animal and plant species. At the top, panels will give you information about the history of the village, the water and the mills. Three orientation tables complete the information and let you discover the surrounding villages and fisheries. Sometimes you can see the Pyrenean peaks..

Located in the commune of Tombebœuf, in the heart of a landscape shaped by agriculture, the Moulin de la Ville natural site represents a refuge for biodiversity. Formerly a mixed farming and livestock farming operation, this natural site covers 12 ha, has preserved environments (wet meadows, alluvial forests, mesophilic orchid lawns...) and is home to many heritage and protected species. Managed by the CPIE Pays de Serres-Vallée du Lot since 2006, it was awarded the departmental label "Sensitive Natural Area" in 2011. Currently in the process of being classified as a regional nature reserve, this site is a privileged place for the discovery of the local natural heritage.

Yolande and Pascal PIGEARD produce edible flowers and mini-vegetables on the permaculture model. In summer, you will meet them on the "Marchés de Producteurs de Pays".

Built in 1799, the Moulin de Coulx is a cylindrical stone and sandstone tower topped with a Gascon-style conical roof. The windmill was restored in 2001 and now has a fully-functional set of grinders and four sails.

The partners are committed to working daily with respect for tradition and the animal, to guarantee you quality poultry. In summer, you can find them at the Marché de Producteurs de Pays in Fongrave, and on Saturday mornings at the Tonneins market. Farm sales and delivery.

The association "Musée du Patrimoine" has opened a room on the first floor of the town hall of Monclar d'Agenais. The museum gathers collections of edged weapons, tools of peasants, objects of the everyday life as well as furniture of the former post office. An annex space is also open on the Place du 8 mai to discover agricultural vehicles, firemen's equipment, etc.

The chapel of Prélats was rediscovered in the 17th century by Claude de Gelas: "The chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Prélats is in the countryside, in a large valley. There are two or three houses two hundred steps away. It is sixteen rods long, five wide and eight high. It is all demolished, uncovered, filled with brambles". In the 90s, it was restored by volunteers who can still show you around the building.

Overlooking the Tolzac valley, Monclar d’Agenais was built in 1256 by Alphonse de Poitiers. A model for other fortified towns, the bastide’s layout remains almost unchanged, with a rectangular main square housing a church in one of its corners. There are still some traces of the old town today: a few wood-panelled and stone houses, the covered market, several cornices and the Saint Clair church, whose 15th century porch is a listed sight of historical interest.

For six generations, the family has been producing prunes as well as mirabelle plums, apricots and greengages. The farm offers a tour and tasting of its production: fruit jellies, prune sorbets, jams cooked in a cauldron, filled prunes, chocolate-covered prunes? The farm also offers a playful discovery of the farm and a hiking trail. We welcome camper vans on our farm.

A fruit grower since 1980, Daniel SALLIOT decided to give up industrial production and return to artisanal production. Today, he works with his children to ensure the quality of his semi-cooked, preservative-free products.
