Explore the ruins of the Le Bost mill during a walk between woods and rivers in the preserved Taurion Valley.In the village of Bost, with your back turned to the inn, take the earth path on the left, just before the first house. At the small clearing, continue slightly to the left and take a very pleasant path that descends, overlooking the Parleur stream.When you arrive at the small wooden bridge over the Parleur, continue slightly to the left for about thirty metres and, after a bend to the left, follow the Taurion for 500 m.At the crossroads, continue straight ahead along the forest road that leads up to the village of La Sagne. At the top of the forest road, turn left on the communal road, go through the village of La Sagne then, at the crossroads, turn left to the village of Le Bost. Go through it, and admire the beautiful old houses. At the end of the village, find the car park.

Royères is located near Saint-Léonard de Noblat in the Monts et Barrages art and history region. You'll pass through typical Haute-Vienne villages such as La Mazière and Caux. Admire the collegiate church of Saint-Léonard de Noblat, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Essentially flat at the start, with a few false flats, it features a loop to discover the Lieue dolmen, then continues through the forest before exiting onto more open landscapes around Puy Bertrand. The return journey takes in some very old paths, requiring careful foot placement.

The 12th-century church, dedicated to Saint Priest, bishop of Clermont, was rebuilt in 1490, probably following an earthquake that also affected Saint-Léger-la-Montagne, Ambazac and Saint-Sylvestre. It was completely renovated in 1993. The church houses a processional reliquary cross (enamelled, with double crossbeam, flowered ends and dragons on the foot) dating from the mid-13th century, one of the treasures of Grandmont Abbey. The church also features remarkable stained-glass windows by master stained-glass artist Francis Chigot.
