Come and escape into the maze of the mysterious "Bois des Boeufs" and enjoy a stroll to the splashing sound of the Mourne waterfalls.Go down and take the first alley on the left.Go up the steps to the Chapelle de l'Arrier and go through the back of the building. Cross the D941 and enter under the porch of the Girardin impasse. At the D51, turn left; pass in front of the Museum of Water and Light.Above the car park, turn right. After the funeral parlour, turn right. After 80 m, turn left onto the tarmac path. Go down to the river.Just before the footbridge, turn left and follow the stream. Go down the steps overlooking the waterfalls, then cross to the other side. Continue straight ahead, climbing slightly to the right.In the Bois des Boeufs, turn left under the trees; walk on, alongside a Douglas fir plantation. Go straight ahead until you reach the old factory below the Mourne bridge.Rejoin the road, turn right, then after the 2nd bend, take the right-hand path and continue straight ahead.Where the forestry tracks cross, take the uphill route to the left. After 150 m, turn left. At the crossroads turn right. In the hamlet of Petit Mazuras, turn right after the 1st farmhouse, and pass by several buildings. After the walnut tree, follow the markers alongside the meadow.Join the forestry track and turn right. Enter the Faux-Mazuras National Forest and continue straight ahead until you reach the crossroads. Go slightly to the right. Pass the wooden barrier at the "Bourganeuf" sign.At the first crossroads, turn left and follow the signs. Continue straight ahead towards the second wooden barrier. On the forestry track, go to the right. Then, straight ahead. At the bottom of the descent, cross the wooden footbridge and continue straight ahead. Turn left just before the funeral parlour. Go on alongside the meadow and turn left. On the D51; go back up to the town. Turn right and then pass under the porch. Go through the Place de l'Arrier, then continue straight ahead. Turn right to finish the walk.

Discover the orchards of Fonloup!Depart from Place de l'Arrier.Take the D 51 opposite, towards Saint-Martin-Château, then take the hill path. Keep going straight ahead. After the last house, take the path that goes down into the woods.Cross the stone bridge and turn slightly to the right. Then walk on, alongside a meadow on the left. Go straight ahead. At the end of the path, turn left, then immediately right. Join the D 940.Cross the road and go straight ahead towards La Régeasse. Then go up a road which crosses the river Verger. After the sign for La Régeasse, turn right and continue straight ahead. Follow the trail to the village.Go through the hamlet and, at the intersection, go straight ahead. At the end of the village, take the path on the left which goes through the trees. Continue straight ahead. Cross through the meadows on either side of the trail.At the road, turn left and then left again, a few metres further on. Before the village of Mas Neuf, turn right to follow a path through the fields. Admire the beautiful countryside, with a view over the town of Bourganeuf. Then cross several log bridges before zigzagging into the middle of a forest. Go past a meadow on the right near the orchards of Fontloup.Return to the road. (It is possible to visit the Fontloup farm). Turn left. Continue straight ahead and turn left after a field, and continue alongside it. At the end of the field, you can see the town of Bourganeuf. Snake through the woodland before turning left at the next crossing.Arrive at the village of Bouzogles. Turn left at the stop sign. At the village level, follow the next direction to the right. After the pile of wood, turn right. Go down to the Mourne, the small river at the bottom of the slope. Take care: the next 50 metres can be difficult. Cross the stream and catch up with the road to Bourganeuf.Cross the road to take the track in front of you. Enter the Faux-Mazuras state forest. Follow the main trail. Then take the track on the left. Take the path back to Bourganeuf. Leave the forest before going on alongside the meadows. Cross the wooden bridge over the River Mourne.Continue straight ahead. Turn left just before the funeral parlour. Walk on, alongside the meadow, and turn left at the end. On the D51, go up towards the town. (It is possible to visit the Electrification Museum). Then return to the starting point, Place de l'Arrier.

Hiking on the heights of BourganeufDepart from the Martin Nadaud school car park. Follow the sign for the Gorges du Verger at the the car park exit, in the direction of Clermont-Ferrand.Take the path that says 'No entry', and continue along the oak-lined pathway. Pass the wooden fences and continue on the main path along a dry stone wall. Walk alongside the waterfalls.At the crow's foot, turn left towards the hairpin bends.At the end of the hairpin bends, turn sharply to the right in front of the sign. Below the old Bourganeuf slaughterhouse, turn left.Cross the road and take the trail that goes up ahead. At the next crossing, follow the left-hand path and cross the meadow. At the end of the wood, follow the path on the right.At the crossing, turn left along the meadow. Follow the yellow markings and continue straight ahead.At the edge of the scrubland, take the left-hand path. Leave this path when it turns to the right to follow the broom hedge on the left, and continue following the edge of the wood, observing a slight curve on the left.At the crossing, take the right-hand path. Continue straight ahead.When you reach the tarmac road, take the abandoned road on the left. Cross the D941. Follow the markings for 50 m and then take a small steep path on the right.At the crossroads, cross the D940, and continue opposite in the direction of Mas Guillard. Go through the village and follow a stony track. At the first intersection, continue on the left-hand path until you reach a tarmac road. Turn left.You have reached the hamlet of La Petite Chaume. At the end of the village, at the foot of the wooden shed, turn left towards the golf course and continue alongside itCross the D941 and follow the pavement on the left. Take the first road on the left. 100 meters after crossing the road to take the steps that lead to the Chapelle du Puy.Follow the pavement on the left. Cross the road in front of the gendarmerie and continue on pavement on the right. Turn right into the street and turn left at the bottom.Join the D941 road, cross it on the right and return to the car park where you started.
