The Guesnes pond reveals itself to the walker in forest attire. Depending on the season, draped in golden foliage or enveloped in springtime green, it attracts nature lovers for bucolic wanderings. The idyllic setting of the fishing pond and its welcoming banks are a delight to behold. The site has no public toilets.

Here, all the elements are mixed: nature, undergrowth, dwellings and castellan houses made of tufa stone, a railway heritage arranged as a green line: this path offers you a multitude of discoveries at the crossroads between the Loudunais, the Richelais, the Châtelleraudais and the Mirebelais.

On this tour, you'll discover the church of Saint-Martin, named after the famous bishop of Tours, and the seigniorial chapel of Marçay, whose portal dates back to the 12th century. Take time out for a picnic break, taste.... by the pond alongside the Envigne and admire the beautiful 360° panorama over the village of Doussay, the Château de Savigny-sous-Faye and the Beaudeau dovecote. From the banks of the Dive, you will discover a landscape of steep valleys and hillsides. This trail will lead you through picturesque villages such as Mazeuil and Le Verger-sur-Dive which has the particularity of being made up of only one street with the famous porch-balets of Poitou.

Former railway line linking Châtellerault and Loudun, this green line is a fabulous way to discover the heritage and the land of Poitou, thanks to the educational and entertaining terminals scattered along the route for the greatest pleasure of all! The green line is 37 km long and includes 18 km of Loudunaise section. It is also possible to follow it on foot or on horseback.

An accessible epic for the general public, where history buffs rub shoulders with apprentice knights, all won over by a spectacular, contemporary setting in the heart of buildings dating from the late Middle Ages. Stroll from room to room to discover the history of Poitou, from Eleanor's Banquet to the Hundred Years' War (immersive rooms). Demonstrations of siege engines, including a 12 m-high trebuchet, and crossbow shooting, as well as workshops, await young and old alike!

Gîte arranged in an adjoining part of the large Maison de Maître owners comprising on the ground floor, a living room, kitchen, wc. In the village of Marnes, on the border between the Deux-Sèvres and Vienne departments, an old dairy was built in 1907. Restored in keeping with the authenticity of the site, the dairy overlooks a hiking trail called "La Sente Divine", which runs alongside the river Dive. The 110m² first floor comprises an entrance hall, living room, kitchen, linen room and games room. Access by 7 steps to the half-floor with a corridor leading to an independent toilet, Bedroom 1 (1 bed 160) and Bedroom 2 (2 beds 90 convertible into 1 bed 180) and an independent shower room. This charming gîte on the banks of the river Dive, in the hamlet of Retournay, lies between Marnes and Moncontour. Once a water mill where several generations of millers succeeded one another, this workplace has been transformed over time into a haven of peace. La villa des Licoches, housed in an old 13th-century building, features a large living room with fireplace, fully-equipped kitchenette, sitting area, shower room and separate toilet on the first floor. Upstairs, 4 bedrooms, 3 with two single beds that can be made into a double bed and one with a double bed, a bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet. Bicycles available. Office and meeting space available.

Family farm for generations, the farm has a cattle and pig farm. The animals are fed with cereals produced on the farm. Our products are elaborated in our laboratory (approved C.E), in a traditional way. Catering service on request.

Château de Coussay is located in the Mirebalais region near : Mirebeau and its XIVth century ramparts, the Scévolles forest and the Guesnes leisure area. Richelieu, before being enthroned as a cardinal in 1622 and having responsibilities that kept him at court, stayed many times in Coussay, especially during his period of exile in 1617 due to the disgrace of the Queen Mother, Marie de Médicis, of whom he was a favorite. In June 1621, the latter even spent a few days at the castle.

Producer and shipper of Yellow Charentais Melons IGP Melon du Haut-Poitou and summer vegetables. The melon is produced in open fields on a surface of 35 hectares. The harvest starts in July and ends at the end of September. Strawberries are produced from April onwards, as well as beef tomatoes during the season.

Located not far from the owners' house and totally independent, La Bergerie is a single-storey gite with a kitchen, living room, bedroom (1 bed 140), bedroom (2 beds 90) and bathroom with toilet. Private enclosed grounds and a covered terrace are available, with garden furniture. All linen (sheets, towels and household linen) is included, as well as heating and cleaning. There are many walks, hikes and geocaching trails in the area!
