At the next crossing, take the road on the left and follow it for about 1 km.Cut the road from Ahun/Busseau to take the very small road opposite to Félinas.In the village, turn left and go on to the next crossing, and then take the path to the left of the cross. Then turn left, 20 m after a bend to reach the grounds of the Ahun Agricultural High School. Continue to follow the path up to the road. Turn left on the edge of a softwood plantation and then slightly to the right (leave the car park on the left). Go up to the next intersection and turn right.Continue, then turn right again. Take the next path on the left and join the road. Turn to the right.At the cemetery crossing, turn left towards the village. Then take the small road on the left after the school and continue until you reach the fairground (church square).Leave it on the right and take the last road on the left. Cross the B-road at the cemetery and go down into the village of Moutier d'Ahun.

To explore the southern territory of Ahun, between Chamberaud and the village of Masgot with its sculptures.Depart from the front of the town hall in Chamberaud. Go through the town of Chamberaud.As you leave Vezou, take the path on the left. Follow it until you meet another primary path on the right. Take the path all the way to the road. It turns to the left, follow it for about 400 m.Then take the path on the right. It turns left twice and then descends to a track.Turn right and take the second trail on the right. Follow it, ignoring a path on the right, then two on the left and finally two on the right before coming back onto a track. Ignore two paths on the right and one on the left.Take the next path on the left. Follow it as far as the road. Turn left to return to the village of Chamberaud.

Exceptional carved woodwork. The church of Le Moutier d'Ahun is unanimously recognized as one of the Creuse region's greatest wonders. This is thanks to the woodwork that adorns its choir and apse, carved from 1673 onwards by Simon Bauer: the altarpiece, a model of Baroque art; the 26 stalls with secular themes; the oak lectern, two lions back to back; the fence with two crucifixes? Exceptional! And the setting for this treasure trove is just right: the garden laid out in the destroyed nave, the banks of the Creuse, the narrow streets of the pretty village leading up to the so-called Roman bridge (11th century). And, as an added bonus, once you've crossed the bridge, you'll have the perfect spot for a souvenir photo. It will be magnificent. Even if you're not the first person to do so?

Situated on Place Jacques Lagrange, this formal garden offers a fabulous journey back in time around a former private hotel. Today, it has become more of a decorative garden, but several elements show that when it was created, it was a vegetable garden and orchard. It has retained its fruit trees and a century-old locust tree. A collection of funerary elements dating from Roman Gaul to the Middle Ages, and a small rural heritage site also enhance the setting. This property, bought by Jacques Lagrange, painter and cartonnier, pays tribute to him. Accessible all year round.

From the 10th-century crypt to the 17th-century portal, Ahun's church has been transformed over the centuries by the jolts of history: 15th-century Pieta, crypt illustrating the transition from pagan worship to Christianity, Romanesque chevet, remarkable Baroque woodwork, Limousin-molded windows... The portal dates from the 18th century.

This beautiful 2-hectare pond, located close to the village of Ahun, is the perfect destination for anglers who love nature, greenery and discovery of all kinds. Two rods per angler. Children over 12 must have a fishing licence; under 12 free, but limited to one rod. Carp, roach, pike. Fishing cards on sale at the town hall.

Château de la Chezotte. In the commune of Ahun, this small moated château is nestled in an English-style park. Fronted by a fortified porch near a chapel, it remains a magnificent example of an extremely well-preserved medieval ensemble. Its fortifications are what make it so special. Built in the 15th century, its owner, Jacques de La Ville, Treasurer of La Marche, wanted to make it a symbol of his power! Built on a cellar, the château is protected by two round towers and a square tower on the park side. On the courtyard side, the square tower houses a spiral staircase serving the three floors. The 4-hectare park is cool under the trees, some of which are over a hundred years old and feature a variety of species. The Félinas stream meanders through the park, and a moat surrounds the building, adding to its charm. Guided tours depart at 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm.

In the heart of the village, in the warm setting of a Renaissance building combining stonework and wood panelling, Le Doux Amer is a restaurant offering traditional cuisine and a daily menu. Opened on June 21, Le Mistral is Ahun's newest restaurant. Chef Gilles Maillary, originally from the Creuse region of France, has just returned from Marseille, bringing with him his southern recipes. Dish of the day or à la carte, desserts, everything is homemade! there are 30 seats in the dining room and a large terrace for fine weather (40 seats).

Of the 6 pitches, 4 are accessible to caravans, vans and small motorhomes, and 2 are reserved for tents. Each pitch is equipped with a pallet deckchair, made by Stéphane! 2 areas are open to all, with deckchairs, picnic tables and barbecues. 2 electrical boxes are located throughout the campsite. Water point in the sanitary area. The sanitary facilities include 2 sinks, 2 washbasins, 2 WCs and 2 showers. A changing table is available. The campsite is open all year round, but this area is not heated. Additional heating can be provided. The former bread oven has been converted into a gîte that can be rented all year round.
