Between Drôme and Hautes-Alpes, this forest hike is refreshing. On leaving, linger in the alleys of the village of La Piarre. 50 m downstream from the bridge over the Courenq torrent, cross the footbridge on the left ("Gorges du Gros Morel" post) and go up the path to the hamlet of the Château (GRP markings). Follow the road for 100 m. Follow then  the path on the right which goes up and  get back to the road in a hairpin bend. Follow the road upwards for 400 m Take another path to the right which joins a track. Follow that track to the right. About 300 m after a hairpin bend, the path leaves the track on the left and climbs to come out at the Col de Combes (1413 m). At the "Col des Combes" post, leave the GRP and follow the left path. After about 750 m, descend a steep path, which goes left to the Col de Carabès. Cross the road and walk up the steep path to reach the Serre du Charron ridge (1357 m). A bumpy winding path runs along this ridge often under pines, firs or beeches. Pass the Col de la Selle and continue on the ridge to the Col du Charron (1319 m). Reach the wide tracks and, at the second post "Col de Charron", go down by following the one on the left, in a  pines, then beeches forest . It is extended by a road. Go past the farm in the hamlet of Granges. After the bend around the rock of Serre Lacroix, take the path on the right, cross the torrent and reach the starting point back.

Cette petite boucle cyclotouritique sans difficulté rayonne autour de la Bâtie-Montsaléon, ce petit village qui dort aujourd'hui sur le site d'une importance ville gallo-romaine. Le site a été plusieurs fois fouillé et identifié comme un des plus importants sur la voie romaine allant de Milan à Arles. Depuis la mairie de La Bâtie-Montsaléon, suivre la D148 direction Savournon jusqu'à l'intersection avec la D 48 A l'intersection de la D 148 avec la D 48, prendre à gauche pour passer le Col de Chaumiane puis continuer en direction de Chabestan. Suivre la route sur 4km jusqu'au croisement de la D 48 avec la D 49 Chabestan. Au carrefour, prendre la route du Villard gauche. Suivre cette route sur 3,5 km pour revenir jusqu'au parking de la mairie de La Bâtie-Montsaléon.

Balade facile, au panorama fantastique sur le bassin du Buëch, les sommets du Dévoluy et les montagnes de Savournon. De la place publique de La Bâtie-Montsaléon, devant la mairie, monter dans le vieux village et zigzaguer dans les ruelles jusqu’au château. Le contourner par la gauche et suivre la piste qui longe le plateau de Marésieu pendant 1,5 km. Au bout du plateau, descendre à droite pendant 50 m, croiser une piste et poursuivre le sentier en lacets, pour partir à droite en suivant la courbe de niveau, en longeant les champs cultivés. Descendre ensuite à gauche sur une ancienne piste pour rejoindre le chemin goudronné (Chabestan / La Bâtie-Montsaléon).  Prendre cette route à droite pendant 1,3 km jusqu’à La Bâtie-Montsaléon.

Diversified and disorienting, this hiking will make you go through rural paths, beech forest, limestone cliff, pastures… You will also have the honour to walk onto the former door-to-door salesmen pathway – which used to link Serres to La Drôme Go up the Sigottier road until La Montagne hamlet (977 meters). From the hamlet, hike up the valley on the same road (for about 1,5 km) and then take a path ending into a forest one. Once the Pied du Duffre reached (1447 meters), on a lawn strewn with Scots pine, take the path on your left towards Arron’s pass. From the pass, you can reach the Duffre summit (1h30 return trip) by crossing through the pastures (2,4 km and 300 meters slope). Take the left path (towards “Le bonnet Rouge”) which pass nearby a sheepfold and reach the Saute pass. At the Saute pass (1499 meters), follow the main track which lands on a wide bend until the Pré pass (indicated “col de Champlat”, 1501 meters). At the Pré pass (or “col de Champlat”), leave the track and turn left in a small pasture. 50 meters further, turn right and cross a small wood. A path alongside the mountain ridge bypasses the Bonnet Rouge summit on the left and reaches Champlat. From Champlat, a return trip allows you to reach the summit (1645 meters) by following the ridge on the right (1 km and 60 meters slope). Follow the long Serre de la Bouisse ridges. The path ends up between box trees’ heaths and the limestone pavement to reach Jardanne rock (1359 meters.) At the Jardanne rock, turn left and go down a beech forest until the Ollagnier source. At the source, follow an undergrowth path on the right leading to Saumane pass. At the pass, turn left on a wide path leading to the Michons. Cross the hamlet and go down the single track until the departure point.

A family hike to meet the historical and religious heritage of Serres, passing between chapels and Hebrew tomb. From the fountain, in front of the Tourist Office, turn right on the lane (Saint-Claude) to join the highs of Serres by following the Guérite path Go up the hairpin path that joins the upper part of the city and follow the road "Chemin du château".1 - Go right on Chemin de la Chapelle (explanatory panel). Pass at the foot of the Molend tower (14th century) and bypass the small cemetery of the chapel Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours. Continue on the trail passing in front of Jewish tomb (14th s), and which rises then in laces under the pines.2 - Bend the sharp Rock (842 m) to continue on the ridge of Fontarache. After some steep climbs in the rocks, you get to the Saumane pass (1031 m).3 - At the directional post at the pass, turn left and go down towards Serres. Follow the same route as the GR by a path that crosses several times the forest track. Pass in front of the Saumane chapel.4 - Continue the track. The track turns into a tarred road to join Serres.5 - Enter the village of Serres and arrive near the college, turn left to pass on the esplanade Sainte Catherine (along the school). Find the Tourist Office by continuing through the alleys and vaulted passages (soustets).

Circuit valloné et varié pour découvrir les vallées du Grand Buëch et du Petit Buëch. Les routes sinueuses et sauvages du Serrois n'auront plus de secret pour vous ! Au départ de Serres, l’itinéraire part au nord par la D 27 jusqu’à Sigottier, un petit village blotti au pied des grandes lames calcaires. Traverser le Grand Buëch et atteindre Aspremont. Prendre la D 49, traverser le Petit Buëch pour rejoindre Chabestan. De là, une petite boucle agréable mène vers 2 hameaux isolés du pays Veynois: Oze et le Saix. Descendre au sud, à Savournon, par la D 48. Ce village situé dans le Val de Channe, au pied du rocher du Château de l'Aigle (1015 m), abrite les ruines d'un donjon. Poursuivre par la D 21 puis contourner la base de loisirs de la Germanette, domaine de 15 hectares avec ses espaces ludiques et de baignade. Revenir à Serres, point de départ de cette belle boucle, au coeur du parc naturel régional des Baronnies Provençales.  

Between Oule and Diois, bypass the Duffre, a famous summit easily recognisable in summer and winter thanks to its ski resort. Some beautiful hiking routes, some small wild roads, and wonderful panoramic views. Everything necessary gathered for bicycle lovers! From Serres, take the departmental road D 27 at the north until La Piarre. Overpass the village and cross Carabès pass before going back down to the Cheylard and reach Valdrôme (a detour towards the Valdrôme ski resort is possible. It is the most southern resort located 9 km away from the village.) Once in the Haut-Diois, you must go up the Fays pass.When you are at the Establet, ride alongside the same name stream.Reach the lovely and calm Oule valley and its villages (La Charce, Bruis, Montmorin…).The route goes under the Duffre and hikes up to the Tourettes pass.Go back down the departmental road D 994 and Epine village. Reach the departure point to end this ride.

Family hike to discover the historical and religious heritage of Serres. Along the way, the path passes in front of two chapels and a Hebrew tomb. Join the fountain on the opposite side of the roundabout, in front of the Tourist Office. Go up "rue Saint-Claude" on the right, then turn left and immediately right to take the "Chemin de la Guérite". Follow then on the opposite side the  "rue du Château", and further to the right, climb the stairs of the "chemin de la Chapelle", leading to the Molend tower and the chapel. Continue on the path that winds its way up under the pine trees, passing in front of the Jewish tomb. Go around the pointed rock (842 m) and continue on the ridge of Fontarache. The path follows the ridge among  limestone blocks , boxwood and pubescent oaks, up to Col de Saumane (1031 m). At the pass, turn left, direction Serres, and 10 m further on to the left, follow the path which crosses the forest track several times. At the end of the path, continue on the left by the track and pass in front of the Chapelle de Saumane. The track turns into a tarred track and reaches Serres. Enter the village of Serres and arrive near the college ("Les Ecoles" post). Take the 2nd left to pass on the Esplanade Sainte Catherine (alongside the school).  by continuing through the alleys and vaulted passages you’ll reach the Tourist Office.

Un circuit ludique et varié qui plaira aux adolescents, durant lequel il peut être envisagé une pause détente à la base de loisirs de la Germanette. Au départ de la place de Serres, traverser le Buëch et tourner à droite sur une petite route qui devient rapidement une piste le long de la rivière. Poursuivre sur cette piste et arriver près d’un terrain de bosses où il est possible de s’amuser quelques instants. Il est également recommandé de faire un détour par la base de loisirs de la Germanette pour se rafraîchir. Emprunter la route jusqu’à la départementale (prudence). Tourner à droite et bifurquer à gauche après environ 100 m pour passer par un chemin sous la voie ferré. Continuer sur la piste jusqu’à une petite route. Monter jusqu’au Bersac et prendre à gauche. La route devient une piste. Avancer sur environ 300 m et quitter la piste pour un sentier ludique alternant marnes et forêts. Attention, quelques petites portions peuvent sembler techniques pour les moins habitués au VTT. Retrouver une piste forestière et rapidement la route qui redescend jusqu’au centre de Serres.

Follow in the footsteps of the homo "faber" who once inhabited the Ginestes. Archaeological investigation has revealed terracotta  vases, bronze razors, engraved bracelets ... On the way back, it is interesting to stroll through the alleys of the old town. Take the D 1075 towards Laragne. Continue through to the railway crossing and take the second road on the left (rue Flamenche); then follow the road C 174, on the left, which winds up. Pass the reservoir and the campsite (a shortcut cuts a hairpin bend). Continue straight on to the farm. At the fork, take the left path. 500 m further, go down to the right (post "Sous la petite Gineste") in the wood, cross the ravine and go up to the top of the Petite Gineste (776 m). You have there the opportunity to observe the remains of a double dry stone wall, the only remains of an entrenched Ligurian camp. Go down west, then south. Take the footbridge and walk along the small canal to the left. Take the stony path on the right and join the D 1075, level with the railway crossing (be careful). Cross and follow the D 1075 on the left for 200 m. Walk down the 1st path on the right, bypass the leisure center on the right (by turning left, possibility of swimming at the leisure center; 1.6 km round trip). Follow the track which winds its way through the orchards and reaches the bank of the Buëch River. Follow it to the right to quietly return  to the starting point.

The gite is located in the commune of Monestier-du-Percy, south of the Vercors in the Trièves. Garden-level apartment in a traditional Dauphinoise house, 100m², facing the Obiou mountain range. 2 bedrooms, 1 large living room with fireplace + separate sleeping area, 1 fully-equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom and separate toilet. Outside, the gite opens onto a small garden and terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. Ideal for both peaceful and sporty vacations (hiking, paragliding, water sports at Lake Monteynard, horse riding, accrobranche). The heritage of the Trièves awaits you (village visits, museum, Terre Vivante), as well as a number of must-see sites such as the Himalayan footbridges and the La Mira boat trip to Monteynard.

Situated at the heart of Archiane hamlet, at the foot of the "Jardin du Roi" cliffs, the stop-over lodge offers bedrooms for 4 to 6 people and regional cuisine. Overlooking Sigottier village, this cliff is a significant rock-climbing site. Around thirty routes are settled with an initiation area for beginners.

Le Béal du Pont ou Grand Béal is one of many waterways coming from Aujour Mountain and flowing into the valley.

The  Saumane Pass (1029 m) allows you to reach Serres via the Chapelle de Saumane or the ridge Crête de Fontarache. It also allows access to the Rocher de Jardanne and to reach the village of Sigottier. This grassy path, shaded by trees  offers an ideal venue for a break or a picnic in calm weather.

Shortly before the Col de Saumane, from the ridge of Fontarache, a point of view is released to the northeast on the Torrent d'Aiguebelle valley. To the north, this tributary of the Buëch has pierced the barrier of the Agnielle Rocks at the place where the village of Sigottier stands today. The cliffs located to the east of this clue are equipped for climbing and present large scales of limestone particularly popular with climbers for their compactness and the mineral atmosphere they bring.

The Crête de Fontarache is an essential passage between Serres and the Col de Saumane for hikers following the Sentier des Moines.

From the ridge of Fontarache as the trail goes up, the point of view towards the south makes it possible to embrace the whole extent of the Buëch valley. Marked on the west by the Beaumont mountain and on the east by those of Arambre and Saint-Genis, the point of view on the valley also leaves the rectilinear silhouette of the Chabre Mountain to the south. In the same axis we also distinguish the dam of Saint-Sauveur and the promontoir Marneux de Montrond, giving its name to the adjoining village.

The Arambre mountain is an eastern part of the syncline of Montmorin. She impressed the spirits so strongly that she was deified by the Romans. A votil altar to the goddess Alambrima, found in La Piarre, is now preserved in the departmental museum in Gap. In the nineteenth century, people exploited the wood for coal but since the forest to regained its territory.

The Sentier des Moines dominates the Serrois valley and offers beautiful views of the area, especially from the ridge Crête de Fontarache .

Indoors in the vaulted dining room or on the terrace, we offer simple family cuisine mixing dishes of the terroir cooked with local aromatic herbs and spices from further afield. Our menu varies following the seasons and our fancies but we favour organic and/or local produce. Everything on the menu is home-made with fresh quality products. Lunch time and afternoon : Savory and sweet snacks, ice-creams, drinks... In the evening we serve the Auberge set menu at 7.30 pm with the gîte’s guests for a friendly diner. Remember to book.

Located in the heart of the valley of Oule, between Provence and the alpine mountain range, on the road of the G.R. footpath 91, the Rabasse overlooks the village of Montmorin and the valley of Oule. It is located next to a pine tree hill, surrounded by orchards and meadows.

La Boule d'Or restaurant welcomes you at the foot of the medieval village of Rosans, on the Nyons-Serres road. Meals are served either in a beautiful vaulted dining room or on the terrace.

Set on the outdoor terrace with views of the Baronnies Provençales, or in the privacy of the vaulted room, you will enjoy a cuisine based on local products at the campsite restaurant (in the evening on reservation). Le Moulin Campsite welcomes you at the heart of nature, close to the source of the river Drôme. There are several sanitary blocks and showers as well as a sheltered communal open space with tables and a fridge. The campsite has a group shelter where you can meet or take shelter in bad weather. Situated at the foot of the village built on a rocky outcrop, Camping du Moulin is close to all village activities: hiking, themed hikes, mountain bike trails, archery, tennis, climbing, children's games. You choose where you pitch.

For a night, a longer stay or to stop for a tasty snack, Valdrôme Inn offers a variety of services: bedrooms and dorms accommodating 25 in total, a restaurant-bar and a small grocery store. Located at the crossroad between Vercors and the Baronnies regions there is a wide range of activities available on site: walks in nature, mountain bike rides, climbing and family-friendly activities…. Indeed, the village of Valdrôme is on the cross-Vercors walking trail GR91 'Traversées du Vercors' and 'les Chemins du Soleil' mountain bike trail. Come and enjoy a quiet and preserved environment with la Drôme river sources nearby and admire one of France most beautiful night sky.

Valdrôme in Haut-Diois is surrounded by mountains, some with lavender fields. It is a charming hilltop village at 800 m of altitude on a rocky outcrop offering one of the clearest starry sky in France. Hikers, families, groups of friends, sports clubs…everyone is welcome for a night or a longer stay at Auberge de Valdrôme. We offer 6 bedrooms accommodating 2 to 4 guests in single and/or double beds. Each bedroom is en-suite with a shower and a washbasin. There are two shared toilets on the landing.

Close to the source of the river Drôme the gite accommodates 19 persons on stunning grounds with a stream and a swimming pool. It is the ideal location for a sporty stay or to unwind, dream under the gentle sun or star gaze at night. Hikers Welcome Label Bedrooms and activity room of different sizes available to groups, they are all en-suite and South-facing. On site you will enjoy large 3,000m² ground, a pond, swimming pool, stream, terrace, lounge-library that can be transformed into a meeting room on request. Around the gite: sports ground and tennis courts in the village. Many hiking, mountain bikes, cycling tracks, climbing and via-ferrata sites around the gite. Bathing in the river Drôme. The French Society of Astronomy has named our village Valdrôme star gazing capital of France. Half board available as well as picnic basket and breakfast. For activities in nature : hikes (GR footpaths 91/94 - Tour des Baronnies), running, mountain biking (Chemins du Soleil), on horse. Reception in private rooms for family, couple or individual. Homemade cuisine, creative and refined, to taste organic products, grown in a garden or in the wild. Packed lunch, sport breakfast, specific menus. You can also learn about wild cuisine during discovery workshops about edibles wild plants, for a week-end or a day. Each room is autonomous (independent entrance). A stop-over on the GR91 hiking path, close to many walking, cycling or horse riding trails, it offers a well-deserved rest at the heart of a preserved environment and a picturesque village. If you are a group of more than 8, bivouac is an option (please call the mairie for confirmation on 04 75 21 41 86). You can combine a sleep over with a breakfast/meal in the evening at Le Bistrot restaurant when it is open. Stop over lodging for 8 in bunk beds. Bathroom and toilets. Functional kitchen with a small fridge. Bring your own duvet. Bed linen and bath towels are not provided. Payement by credit card is available but subject to a functionning internet connexion.
