The chapel of Jévaux (also spelled Gévaux) is located in a clearing in the middle of the Vieille Poirière forest, in the municipality of Jouy-sous-les-Côtes, which is where its name comes from. First of all, to park, there is quite a lot of space, and if the weather is nice, there are a few small streets perpendicular to the Grande Rue in Lucey that allow you to put the car in the shade. The circuit starts with a few paths going up behind the village towards the forest on 200-300 meters. Once you are in the forest, the principle is to zigzag up and wait for the plateau where the fort is located. The latter is covered by vegetation, and will only be very little visible. You will cross here and there some constructions annexed to the fort to brighten up the walk =) /! Watch out! The walk goes around the fort, but not inside. It is not advisable to try to venture inside, especially with small children or animals: there are many holes and not all parts inside are stable. And until the last news, it's not very legal ;-) The circuit layout will help you to find your way, but you can very well take the many small paths. You'll see them appear on the map (for example on the OSM / OCM map background, they're almost all there). Once you've done the lap, you just have to go back down to the village. In the heart of the forest of Sionne and of Frebécourt, there are 4 indomitable dwarf beeches. You will encounter these fantastic trees with their fairytale appearance, but also another equally strange phenomenon : the sinkhole. The Parc des Luxembourg was the former pleasure park of the Counts of Ligny-en-Barrois. By the 14th century, the park was already offering young Pierre de Luxembourg peace and quiet. Its "L" shape has remained unchanged since the beginning. Covering 8 hectares, it is bordered by the waters of the Ornain river. The cannon tower, 40 m in diameter, formed the southern corner of the castle rampart. Its layout is still visible, and large rubble stones testify to its age. Purchased by the town of Ligny-en-Barrois in 1794, it was classified as a Historic Monument in 1932.

The 22-metre Valéran Tower is all that remains of the fortified outer wall which protected the Counts of Ligny's castle. The tower remains the most significant example of mediaeval architecture. 12th-century Premonstratensian abbey rebuilt in the 18th century in Stainville between Ménil-sur-Saulx and Juvigny-en-Perthois. The remaining parts of the abbey include the outbuildings, covered well, splendid vaulted cellars and some of the abbey building itself with some fabulous rooms. The church still has its West Front, with two massive square towers. Guided tours available throughout the year on request. Minimum of 10 people required for groups.

This old ornamental ironworks has been turned into an experimental centre "to promote lifestyle in a rural environment". It includes a museum, a high-quality programme of cultural events and agricultural activities (nettles, fruit and vegetable growing). The general public is invited to follow a footpath across the 9-hectare site, past the old abbey and factory. They can also see the shop, with its outstanding collection of cast iron models. An exhibition illustrates the history of this site and the Bar-le-Duc area as a whole. Guided tours are available on Sundays and with advance booking. There is also a shop selling local products. Audioguides are available in French, German and English. A discovery kit is available for children.

Built in a courtyard adjoining the cloister, protected from the frost and the wind, the "jardin des simples" has been designed according to typical abbey gardens : medicinal and aromatic plants.

Opened in 1946, Bergère de France is France's largest knitting wool producer. It controls the entire process from production to marketing and is one of the leaders in its market sector. In fact, it produces more than half the wool sold in France. The company occupies premises covering an area of 40,000 sq. metres. The guided tour takes visitors through the various workshop areas, from the arrival of the raw material to the packaging of balls of wool and the preparation of orders for despatch. Visitors are given an opportunity to buy wool at the factory shop at the end of the guided tour. For safety reasons, visitors must be at least 18 years of age. Winepress typical of the XVth century reminding us "Pineau de Bar"production until the begining of the XXth century. At that time a dozen press wines were said to be located in our town.
