This path, mostly in chestnut forest, offers a beautiful panorama of the sandstone and the village. The start of the route follows the Roman road along the Beïte valley.

The first part of the trail runs under the cover of a chestnut forest and along the "Roman Way".

The route is divided between forests of various species and high-altitude mountain pastures. The stage ends with accommodation in Annot or Roncharel.

Leaving from the picturesque town of Annot, this is a real sawtooth circuit with many passes to climb. Follow in the footsteps of the world's greatest champions on these mythical cols covered by the Tour de France, and your efforts will be rewarded by a breathtaking view of the Lac de Castillon on the descent of the Col de Toutes Aures. From Saint-André-les-Alpes, head for Barrême and the Asse Tartonne valley, then the Col du Défend, a wild road that takes you to Thorame-Haute for a refreshment stop at the fresh water fountains. Finally, a final effort on the Col de la Colle-Saint-Michel with its large pine forests to the summit, a heavenly landscape dotted with thyme. The trail offers beautiful panoramic views over the Vaïre valley and takes you through a varied forest, including a magnificent beech grove. From Place du Germe, head for the Vaïre bridge, cross it and then turn left. Follow the Chemin des Abrits, then take the path alongside the Vaire (yellow/red markings). After 500 m, the path opens out into the Abrits ravine, made up mainly of bluish marl. It then climbs fairly steeply through the Feït woods for 200 m to Le Feit at 902 m altitude. At the first crossroads, turn right towards Colle-Basse (yellow markings). The path climbs steeply through a magnificent forest of beech and pine. It leads to the Chemin de Ceinture, indicated by an old wooden beacon. You then come to a pretty little flat with large limestone boulders and magnificent beech trees. Follow the route to the right until you reach the Bois de la Colle signpost at 1050 m altitude. At this marker, follow the Buissière in the direction of Annot. The path then crosses the blue marls of the Abrits and offers a beautiful view of the Grès and the Vaïre valley. It leads to the small forest hut of the Gîte du Serre. From this hut, continue downhill along the Combe Renard ravine to the Pré Martin district and the village.

Mostly shaded at the start, the path joins the Pont Saint-Joseph. It climbs up the St-Jean ravine, at the foot of the cliffs of the Educh plateau, to the ruins of the hamlet of Ourges. The climb is steeper up to the chapel of Saint-Jean-du-Désert.

A beautiful, shady itinerary that takes in the villages of Annot and Le Fugeret and offers magnificent views over the valley, with the option of returning via the Chemins de Fer de Provence.

Geological curiosities, rare species and biodiversity, a thousand-year-old heritage and mysterious legends: this trail will help you discover the hidden wonders of the Annot sandstone site. Take Avenue de la gare. A few metres before the station, pass under the railway tracks and turn right. The path winds its way up between sandstone boulders. After the Roubine rock shelter, the route crosses marl and then becomes steeper. At a fork in the road, head for the Jardins du Roi. This short loop takes you through the impressive Garambes gorge before rejoining the main route. Turn left towards the chambre du Roi. The path continues along a wide but vertiginous ledge before reaching the wooded canopy. After the Abri du Plateau, make the short return journey to the viewpoint. Cross the Portettes arch and descend into the chestnut grove. At the Espaluns belvedere, make the short round trip to the left to discover a magnificent rock shelter. The descent is punctuated by several eyebrows before joining the paved path leading to the Vers la Ville chapel. Taking the emblematic Blanc Martel trail without taking your car couldn't be easier, thanks to the shuttle bus and the Zou 450 regional line (ex BV1 )from Riez, Roumoules, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and Castellane. Shuttle service resumes on 28/04/2023. How does it work? The Zou 450 regional line links Riez to Castellane via the village of La Palud-sur-Verdon. From La Palud-sur-Verdon, the Blanc-Martel shuttle bus takes you to the Chalet de la Maline, the trailhead. The trail ends at Point Sublime (Rougon). For your return journey, take the shuttle bus to the village of La Palud-sur-Verdon and/or the regional line 450 to Riez or Castellane. Timetables... To ensure optimum operation, the timetables of the Riez-Castellane regional line (450) and the Blanc-Martel shuttle are coordinated. Online booking is highly recommended if you want to be sure of getting a seat! Please note that the shuttle does not return to Chalet de la Maline in the afternoon.

At one time dedicated to Saint Pons, this church was first mentioned in 1042 in a donation charter made by the local lord of the area at the Saint-Victor abbey in Marseille.

Housed in what was once the winery of the Maison Rabiers du Villars, the Regain museum unveils a new exhibition each year, focusing on the traditions of the Pays d'Annot. In 2025, you'll discover a new exhibition. In the Louis Barral room (archaeologist who explored the St Benoît caves in 1950 with the team from Monaco's Musée Anthropologique Préhistorique): Exhibition of artifacts found in the St Benoît and Méailles caves during these excavations. Organized by the ADPC Association under the aegis of Annot town council.

Built in 1681, replacing the former wooden bridge, the Vaïre bridge has pedestrianised bays which were added in 1711. The bridge was shortened due to the town square being extended and there are now only four arches, yet there were seven before.

The Vérimande chapel was most likely built on the site of a Templar chapel. Today the chapel is sheltered by a canopy roof and remains a place of pilgrimage during the annual Saint Fortunat festival.

This ancient sandstone cross, located south of Annot, is sheltered by a canopy built upon four limestone columns. Despite its name, Croix Romane (or Roman Cross), and the date given on the classification decree, stylistic analysis suggests it dates from the 16th century. It is shown on the 1/14,000-scale Carte de Provence by the Ingénieurs Géographes militaires (1764-1765). It also appears on the 1830 cadastral map, on a "dry" plot belonging to Coste Honoré Jean-Baptiste. It is located a few dozen meters south of a former chapel, Notre-Dame des Auches, which appears on the Carte de Provence, on the Carte de Cassini and on the cadastral map of 1830, when it became part of the commune of Annot. The columns of the baldachin are similar to others used as replacements in houses around the Annot church. This precious salt demonstrates the presence of a marine environment in these places during the Mesozoic era, 220 million years ago. The Saint-André is rich in sources of this type.
