At the gates of Brive, but already in the countryside, this shady route takes you through the Planchetorte valley, an important listed and preserved site. Numerous caves occupy the sandstone walls. Difficult to see in summer, they were habitats and shelters for the men of the Paleolithic. The Planchetorte valley is also incredibly rich in flora because of the diversity of environments that can be observed there.

With a route of 17 km and no difficulties, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the peace and quiet that surrounds the rich landscape of the Vézère valley! Saint-Viance, a small hamlet immersed in a unique setting, is the starting point for your tour. Don't miss seeing the shrine of Saint-Viance in the church, which has been a listed monument since 1891. You will then follow the Vézère river for the most part, to arrive at Le Saillant. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a gothic style bridge with ogival arches, and many other sights await you! If you like the built heritage, then a diversion to Allassac will not be too much for you. An open-air museum, the historic monuments are on display all year round, notably the round tower, one of the only ones in the Limousin.

Discover the Ardoise region through this 61 km long sportive route! Your tour starts in Donzenac, a pretty town of character. Once an important fortified town, Donzenac has lost none of its charm thanks to its medieval architecture. At the highest point of the oldest part of the town is the astonishing castle of the barons of Donzenac, which is surely the oldest remaining residence in the town. After a few kilometres in the legs, you arrive at the gates of Allassac! Amongst its rich heritage, the 14th century fortified church and the Tour César are worth discovering. To complete the loop, allow yourself a well-deserved break to discover the Pans de Travassac. The interest of the site is explained by its impressive coloured cliffs, which do not fail to surprise, just like its decor which harmonises mineral and plant environments.

1000 km of mountain biking around Corrèze to revisit the local heritage, both natural and cultural, thanks to sport tourism. The routes are divided into 51 sectors of 10 to 25 km, crossing more than 200 communes and a topoguide details each sector. The Grand Itinéraire à VTT will make you travel in multiple landscapes as varied as our Corrèze is. Sometimes easy on wide and rolling roads, sometimes difficult, even very difficult on small steep paths, you will cross deciduous forests in Basse-Corrèze before finding yourself in the middle of coniferous forests in Haute-Corrèze. Not forgetting this magnificent crossing of the Regional Natural Park of Millevaches in Limousin. A real adventure by mountain bike or electric bike to share with your family or friends.

This route allows you to admire the views over Donzenac and its plain from the village of Mazières. It then sinks into the shaded valley of the two Maumonts, which it crosses at the mill of Theil, to emerge on the top of the slopes by the charming village of Cévennes. It then dips back into the Maumonts valley one last time before reaching the famous Travassac slate quarry site Finally, a short detour to the medieval village of Donzenac allows you to take a refreshing break in the town square before finishing this hike.

Located at the foot of the Mons temple hill, the fountain, as in many commanderies, is public and for pilgrims passing through and for use by local residents. It bears the name of Saint Rémy, in keeping with the dedication of the commandery chapel in Templar times. Its source is the vein of water that runs beneath this ancient chapel. Erected or rebuilt in the hyper-centre of Brive at the beginning of the 15th century (perhaps around the tomb of the Saint to whom it owes its name), the Chapelle Saint-Libéral had an eventful history before being sold to the City of Brive in 1976. Listed in 1978 in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments, this Gothic style chapel has been a space for exhibitions and cultural events since the 1980s and offers a rich and varied programme throughout the year. Since September 2011, it has been attached to the Labenche Museum. Access free of charge.
