This route offers an exceptional 360° panorama of the Beaufortain, Mont Blanc and Aravis massifs. Accessibility: shuttle bus - stop Tourist Office Departure : Tourist Office Route: from the departure of the Forêt ski lift, take the groomed path that goes up on the left towards the Forêt district. When you arrive under the Carrets chairlift, go up to the right under the chairlift until it arrives. From there, turn right and follow the summer road until you reach the Manant chairlift, then climb to the top of Mont Bisanne along the Bisanne ski lift. Note: you can take the shuttle bus to the Plan du Pré stop, walk up the road for about a hundred metres to join the route at the arrival of the Carrets chairlift. You can also take the Bisanne chairlift to reach the summit and do the downhill run.

Route exclusively on forest and alpine tracks without technical or physical difficulty. It bypasses Mont Bisanne from the north on the route of the Tour du Beaufortain. Mainly in the forest, this descending route, with only a small climb, is perfect for hot days. Enjoy the landscapes and panoramas of the surrounding massifs (Aravis, Bauges, Chartreuse, Vercors). Return to departure by road or by free shuttle. You will evolve near pastures, stay on the trails, and respect the work of the mountaineers.

Varied downhill circuit: mixed terrain and changing landscapes. First part in alpine pasture bypassing Mont Bisanne then downhill on the ski slopes of Bisanne 1500. Crossing on the southern slope to Nantailly. Descent to Plan des Loups on a track and path, then on a balcony on the old rural road linking Beaufort to Hauteluce. Return to the starting point with the free shuttle. You will evolve near pastures, stay on the trails, and respect the work of the mountaineers.

Slowly descending route, mainly on alpine tracks. Perfect for progressing in mountain biking. You will cross part of the Régioanle Nature Reserve (exemption). Take the time to appreciate this unique atmosphere close to the great outdoors of Lapland. In wet weather, the part between Bergerie de la Palette and Les Saisies can be muddy. You will evolve near pastures, stay on the trails, and respect the work of the mountaineers.

All along the hike, enjoy seesights on mountains : on the way out, Roselend lake, Le Mirantin and Les Bauges and, on the way back, Aravis and Mont Blanc! Not to mention the marmots which live in various places. Departure from the "sous Bisanne" car park, on the Mont Bisanne road from the D123 (Villard - Les Saisies). The recommended route starts with a descent towards Les Pachons, then a crossing above the Bisanne 1500 resort by Le Planay; then, by the forest track, you join the Croix de Coste path on the left. From there, we head east again and follow the wooded ridge to the Lata du Vaz; then it's the crossing under Bisanne, on the Saisies side, to the departure car park. Accessible to pedestrians and ideal for mountain bike descents, with a few rules to follow: - Riding two on the same bike is strictly prohibited (including with baby carriers, Shotgun, or similar devices), -Only mountain bikes are allowed on the tracks (other vehicles are prohibited), - Wearing a helmet is mandatory (full-face helmet recommended), - Protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads, chest plate, back protector, gloves, goggles, etc.) is strongly recommended.

A protected natural site 10,000 years old, unique in the Alps! Discover this ecosystem at the Maison des Tourbières or through thematic trails in open visits, guided tours, animations, workshops, games and conferences ... Located between 1550 and 1718 m altitude, this peat bog of 290 hectares is a relic of the last ice age. The largest peat bog in the Alps, it has a rare flora and fauna, and its ranking as a Regional Nature Reserve in 2013 helps protect all this fragile biodiversity. During periods outside snow, you can walk in the heart of this peat bog, on two specially designed trails allowing you to discover this special biotope. This peat bog has its origin in the passage on the neck of a glacial tongue. This is a very rare site in France since this type of peat bog is generally found in the Scandinavian mountains. A botanical wealth out of the ordinary, since there are extremely rare or even unique plants in Savoie, as well as carnivorous plants. Explanatory booklets are on sale in the Tourist Offices. It will enlighten you on the functioning of this ecosystem.

The Baroque Church of Saint Maxime is located in the middle of the oldest district of Beaufort: Le Châtelard. Securely attached to the rock, the church is dominated by a huge square tower. Its facades contrast with the interior decoration. From the 17th century, the population of Beaufort and surrounding hamlets were actively involved in the reconstruction of the church, which ended in the 19th century. The first church dated back to 1171. The present church with its basilica shape comprises of a large rectangular space, which includes the central nave, side aisles and choir, which is also rectangular. The vaults of the nave are leaning on a series of cross section pillars separating the aisles and supporting the galleries. The pulpit, commissioned in 1720 to Jacques Clérant, a renowned sculptor from Moûtiers, was installed in 1722. During the revolution, the rioters tried in vain to demolish the bell tower: if the steeple was destroyed, the walls were saved by the local population. Inside the church, the sumptuous decoration highlights religious themes; they recount the life of the Virgin Mary, Christ and the Saints, and represent the great stories of the Bible. Everything was done to accommodate, dazzle, amaze, convince and reassure the faithful. Masses are held here regularly.
