You will pass by the magnificent and picturesque village of Saint Auvent where the site of Notre Dame de la Paix (small Lourdes in Limousin) will move you.

The parish church of Saint Pierre de Cussac is typical of Limousin churches. It is a living testimony to simple, yet meticulous architecture. The nave and choir were built in the 12th century, and the side chapels were added in the 16th century. Excavations carried out in 1972 suggest that the church was built on the site of an earlier, smaller church. The church's two chapels are vaulted with ribbed formets. The church also has a flamboyant door opening onto the south chapel. The church contains some very fine works of art: sculptures, stained glass windows, paintings...

The clédier is a stone building of around ten square meters used to dry chestnuts. It can be round, square or rectangular in shape, and was used for individual or collective purposes. Clédier drying protected the breadfruit from the cold and damp, enabling it to be preserved and consumed until early summer. This heritage is typical of the Pays des Feuillardiers region. The Fontanelle in Cussac is a fine example, and can be enjoyed during a tour of the village or a relaxing break under the large chestnut trees in the Jardin des Félibres, behind the church.

Access by car via the D22 from the village of Cussac in the direction of La Chapelle Montbrandeix - Start of the walking circuit, parking lot at the entrance to the forest. Take the small path that descends to the right at the corner of the parking lot. The picnic area is about 300 m away, beside the small pond.

Château de Cromières, on the Route Richard C?ur de Lion, is a feudal edifice said to have been built on an ancient Gallo-Roman villa or oppidum. In feudal times, the château was part of the Rochechouart Viscounty, which possessed five castles. An enclave of Poitou, it was on the border between the Kingdom of France and the Duchy of Guyenne, which belonged to England. The de Cromières family held the castle until the fall of Châlus and the death of Richard C?ur de Lion in 1199. Following this, in the 15th century, the Pompadour family acquired the château and owned it for almost 200 years. The next owner was Jean de Selves, first President of the Bordeaux Parliament and later of the Paris Parliament. Today, the château belongs to the Bermondet family, including Jean de Bermondet, the first Marquis de Cromières.

Good fountains" are springs, often isolated in nature, on which people have built fountains; they are frequented because their waters are reputed to have curative virtues and are the object of a veritable cult. The good fountains of Saint-Jean in Cussac are among the most typical. There are three of them: the first, by the roadside, cures toothache, the second, in the chestnut grove, is indicated for all types of pain, while the third heals livestock. The site has been landscaped: chestnut trees have been replanted, and there are benches, an open-air theater, information panels and a hiking trail. Every year, the commune of Cussac celebrates the Bonnes Fontaines with a number of events on the site.

This dolmen, known as the "grosse pierre", is the subject of several legends: in the past, it was used as a place of execution for criminals. The stone was also said to be haunted by an enormous snake, whose tail rested on a pillar, while its head was hidden in the hedge on the other side of the path. The Tamanie dolmen was classified as a Historic Monument on June 14, 1971.

The church, which replaces the former oratory and is dedicated to Saint-Christophe, was rebuilt in 1878-1879. Only the old bell tower has been preserved. The façade features human-shaped stones from the former 11th-century church. The interior features a monolithic holy-water font and stained-glass windows listed as Monuments Historiques.

Dedicated to Saint Blaise, whose name became Saint Bazile, this church was built in the 12th century, then repaired in the 15th and 19th centuries, as well as in 1972. The buttresses supporting the building bear eagles with outstretched wings. The portal is of the Limousin type, with two voussoirs and a frieze of 13th-century capitals. In the choir of the church is a relic cupboard.
