The parish church of Saint Pierre de Cussac is typical of Limousin churches. It is a living testimony to simple, yet meticulous architecture. The nave and choir were built in the 12th century, and the side chapels were added in the 16th century. Excavations carried out in 1972 suggest that the church was built on the site of an earlier, smaller church. The church's two chapels are vaulted with ribbed formets.
