A legendary tour of the Alpilles, take the time to discover the famous Caisses de Jean-Jean. From the car park, continue on the road to the golf course of Servanes. At the entrance of the golf courses, continue on the road to go around it. The canal of the Baux valley, which first goes along the road, will make way for new olive groves which it supplies with water. 1 – Continue straight on the road until the starting point and end the tour.

Cross from end to end the eastern half of the Alpilles. A territory that is full of remarkable elements to discover! Back to the car park, take the D24 on the right for 225 m. At the crossroads, turn right on the Avenue Pasteur. Go to the church and then back to the starting parking for the hike. 1- At the roundabout take the D24 opposite the intersection with the D24a towards Aureille. 2- ON the right retrieve the D24a, walk by olive groves for 5 km, until Aureille. 3- Take the road on the left, direction Eygalières. Continue to the pass called "Pas de la Figuière". Join the intersection with the D25. 4- Go right up the D25 in direction of Eyguières. Continue for 7.5 km and join the junction with the D569. 5- (Caution, traffic!) Turn right on the D569, always towards Eyguières. At the roundabout, continue straight for 150 m. 6- Turn left in the direction of Sénas. Continue for 7 km. 7- cross the roundabout of the entrance of the city. 300 meters later, turn left on the path of "Donne", just before the level crossing. Continue to Orgon. 8- Go through Orgon via rue de la Fontaine and Edmond Coste Street. Continue through the rise of Paradise and Jean Moulin Avenue to the intersection with the D24b, after the sports complex. 9- At the intersection after the sports complex, take the D24b on the left and continue until Eygalières for about 7 km. Cross the village and continue on the D24b for 2 km. 10- Turn left on the D24, towards Mouriès. Continue for 2 km. 11- Take the D24 on the right, towards Mouriès. Continue for 6 km to the place called "Destet". 12- Turn right on the D78 towards Maussane-les-Alpilles. 13- At the junction with the D5, turn left towards Mouriès. Continue on this road until the intersection with the D17. 14- Turn left on Alphonse Daudet road, before the D17, then continue until you reach the roundabout of the departure.

From the Tourist Office, take the D24 "Avenue Paul Revoil" towards Eygalières until the roundabout. 1 - Cross the roundabout and continue on the D24 until the intersection with the D24a, heading towards Aureille. 2 - Take a right. Continue on the D24a which goes through olive groves over 5km until Aureille and its junction with the D25a. 3 - Take a left towards Eygalières. Go through the village of Aureille and cross the mountain pass named "Pas de la Figuière" to reach the intersection with the D25. 4 - Switch to the left towards Eygalières. Continue to the vineyards of "Vallongue" and the junction with the D24. 5 - Take a left towards Mouriès. After 8km you will reach the place called the "Destet" and the intersection with the D78. 6 - Take a right. Take the D78 until the junction with the D5, before arriving in Maussane-les-Alpilles. 7 - Turn left towards Mouriès. Continue on the D5 until the intersection with the D17. 8 - Do not take the D17. Just before, turn left on the "Chemin d'Alphonse Daudet" and reach the roundabout from the start.

Discover the scrubland by browsing the towns of Saint-Martin-de-Crau and Mouriès, with a magnificent view of the Alpilles. From the parking, pass the barrier and take the right path bordered scrubland (yellow PR marking). Continue for 600 m. 1- Make a left turn then another right. Enter an area where vegetation is less dense. Continue to follow the main path (yellow PR signage) going north on 400 m. 2- Make a left turn while continuing on the main path (yellow PR marking). After 400 m, go down through the olive trees to join the Draille de l'Anellier. 3- Take this draille on the right. Continue straight for 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with the D5. Switch to the right on the latter (stay on the yellow shoulders provided to this effect). Continue 300 m and join the departure car park.

Among olive trees and scrubland, a loop with exceptional landscapes, around a rich built and amazing heritage! Back to the Tourist Office, cross the parking lot and turn left on the CD5. 1 - Take the first left, pass the municipal pool and after the small town square, go left. At the give-way, turn right. At the exit of Maussane (road sign), pass under the aqueduct and turn right on the road between the golf course and the foothill. Follow this paved road, cross the golf course to the cattle guard. 2 - Head to the left track. In front of the boulders, leave behnd the 2nd cattle guard on the left and turn right. 50m further, go left at the start of the 18th hole. While the track goes off to the left, reach the D27 by the small road along the stone wall. Opposite Baumanière, take a right onto the D27 for 50m. 3 - Go left towards the retirement home. Continue on the road for 150m and turn left into the alley between the houses. At the next intersection, turn right, go up the trail until reaching and going along a stone wall. At the curve, go straight, go slightly up the forest track to the left. Go down and reach the D78F road. 4 - Cross the D78F then go down the opposite path. Walk along the canal to the left towards Le Paradou. At the junction of 5 roads, continue straight on the road with the oratory under Aleppo pine. 5 - Come out on the D78d, then turn right for 50m. At the oratory, turn left into the Chemin de Bourgeac. After 600m, turn left to the Méjan domain. After the olive groves, turn right onto the path that dominates the village. Facing the black metal gate, go down to the right towards the village. At the stop sign, cross the Avenue Cornille and enter the village on the opposite side. Turn left at the end of the street, then walk past the town hall, the church and the Place du Marché. After the Avenue Baptiste Blanc, go left onto the D5 to reach the car park from the start.

Welcome to Maussane-les-Alpilles, village "with a thousand fountains"! From the starting point, join the avenue des écoles and turn left into Benjamin Priaulet Park. Cross it, follow the wall of the media library on the right and take the pedestrian street of Temps Retrouvé.1- Turn right, pass the church and cross the Laugier de Monblan square on the left. Cross the avenue of vallée des Baux and go down the Charles Piquet street.2- Turn right on Charles Piquet car park and cross it to the pedestrian crossing on your right. Go up a few meters and take the Simon Barrier street on the left.3- Turn right before Simon Barnier car park. At the end of the passage, turn left and join the avenue vallée des Baux Take it on the left and turn right on a footpath just after school.4- At the end of the road, turn left. Go left on Avenue des Maronniers, then right after on the right, rue du Vieux Maussane. Continue right on Charloun Rieu street5- Turn right and take the Batignolles path. At the end of the road turn on the road des Baux. After a few meters, turn right before the bridge and follow a path in an undergrowth along a small stream. 6- Climb the slope to the right and follow the path lined with almond trees. Go down the steps on the right and join the Agora parking. Cross it, as well as the Avenue des Alpilles and find the starting point, Henri Giraud square.

Come roam this playful path, where you will have the leisure to discover the Castillon towers and the surrounding landscapes. At the car park, take the rocky path marked in blue which goes up a gentle slope, going along an organic olive grove on the left. 1 – Once the towers in sight, take the track which rises on the right, leaving the first turn on the left behind. When reaching the third tower, which was hidden until now, turn right then continue following the blue marked trail by going along the rocks of Pène. 2 – At the road, turn immediately left and follow it along the path of Castillon towards different Mas (Provençal farmhouses). Possible presence of cars. Continue on the road until the junction at the Saint-Jean bridge. 3 – Arriving at the "RIS" sign, turn left to take back the path that sinks again into the little massive. 1 – Back to the Castillon towers, turn right and follow the first path taken to complete the tour of the towers.

Climb the foothills of the Alpilles, to admire Aureille and admire landscapes extending as far as the eye can see! From the parking, return on the D25a. Take it on the right towards Eygalières and turn left on the Estandedou road. At the crow's feet, stay on the right, Chemin Saint-Jean, and continue for 400 m. 1- Go right up the path of the water tower. Exceed the tank and continue to a tank. Then take the path on the right for 900 m2- Facing a fork, climb the left path. At the next intersection, take the right one. Continue on this road for 2 km, leaving on your right the lookout tower.3- At the intersection with the GR®6, turn left, then 30 m further, turn to the right. Follow this road for 500 m, then fork on the trail to the left. 4- For the next two intersections, take the trail on the left. Carry on on this trail for 2 km. At the end of the path, facing a field of olive trees, take the path on the left.5- At the junction, follow the path on the left, guided by the sign "Aureille 1,5 km". Continue on the same path up to the village and the starting point of the hike.

Take a step back on the emblematic reliefs of the Alpilles thanks to this walk accessible to all and full of sensations! From the parking, return on the D25a. Take it on the right towards Eygalières and turn left on the Estandedou road. At the intersection stay on the right, Saint-Jean path, until the end of the houses 1- Follow the GR® on the right. Take the path on the left at the junction and continue for 4 km until the D24 road, leaving on the sides the paths encountered. 2- Cross the D24 and take a path that goes right up to a collar Go past a wide path that goes to the left and take a path down and parallel to the road. 3- Go up on the D24, pass the small stone bridge and in the bend take the path on the right. At the next crossroads, stay to the left. Just after, climb left and pass a barrier. 4- Continue on this path to another barrier. There, turn left to join the D25a. Get off on the road until after the rocky bars and take the first path on the left. 5- Walk along the fence and the olive trees to a stool. Continue, then at the next junction, turn right twice. Pass an oratory, take the D25a on the left and join Aureille and the starting point.

An easy walking path around the Opies during which you will easily see all the rare or typical species of the Alpilles. Arriving at the cemetery, cross the gate to take the GR6 marked trail leading away from the village and follow it. Continue straight ahead, leaving the various small paths aside at multiple intersections Stay on this trail that continues to the foothills of the mountain on the left. Arriving to the sheep pen, go straight for 500 m. 1 – Pass the gate which cuts the road and at the crossroads, follow the second marked trail PR (yellow marking) which starts on the left. 400 metres further, turn on the right to go remain on the marked trail going up the hill. 2 – Reaching to the gate, turn to the right, leaving the private property and turn left, to go down the path leading to the domaine du vallon des Glauges. 3 – Reaching to the domaine, continue straight on the road the tour of the wine estate. 4 – At the intersection, turn right and continue for 1.5 km on the gravel path between the vineyards, visible on the right side of the cliff overlooking on the left. 5 – Arriving back on the road, turn right and return to the domaine. (Traffic!) 3 – Turn left at the intersection represented by the reference point number 3 to start the route back.

Topped on a central pillar in stone, this small chapel was built in 1822, against cholera raging in the region. A niche was built, bullet-shaped, covered by a stone flat roof. A marble plaque was added to the building, where one can read "SAINT ROCH PRIEZ FOR US. 1822-1886 ".

The church is the place of the Saint-Jacques chapel, they found writings dating from the eleventh century. and has been replaced to accommodate the growing number of parishioners. The building in front of you dates from 1783. He has had several downgrades during the Revolution, but also following the 1909 earthquake that caused the collapse of the bell tower.

From the Castellas ridgeline to the north, you can see the golf Servanes but above the peaks that house the John John Banks, where there was a Gallic oppidum there two thousand years. To the south lies the village of Mouriès. Finally, to the east, where the ride continues, lies a mosaic of agricultural and viticultural landscape.

The construction of the Avignon-Salon railway line was completed in 1868. In 1900, an assessment of traffic showed that the number of travelers and goods (cereals, wine, coal) was small. Although the prosperity of the villages benefited from connection to the railway network, the line was finally closed in 1950, in a favorable context to road traffic.

The European Bee-eater is characterized by its the many colours: yellow and black head, brown back, abdomen ranging from blue-green to turquoise blue, green tail and red iris make up this magnificent bird. Often perched at the top of a dead tree, it can be mistaken when far away with a swallow because it flies in the same way, especially when hunting, where it will alternate flapping their wings and flying steady.

200 million years ago, a gigantic ocean, Tethys, caused the formation of the rocks by its water movements. Following the collision of the African and Eurasian plates then new movements, these vertical rocks were formed. If we take a closer look at these rocks, it is still possible to find traces of shells, fossils which survived for millions of years, and are witnesses to this past.

As part of an educational action of the Park, the environmental education association Chemin Faisan has created a booklet which accompanies the milestones you can see, made by SEGPA classes (special needs educational division) of the René Cassin high school of Tarascon and 9 classes of the Mouriès school. The booklet along with the milestones allow the young audience to discover in an educational way the Caisses de Jean Jean and its heritage. Each colour present on the milestones symbolizes a theme explored in the book.

A Gallic oppidum (fortified village) stood here in the 6th century BC, date of the first rampart placed to protect the village. But there were two ramparts and cliffs protecting the several thousand Gauls then living in the Caisses. They had food through farming and crops they grew in the plains. Archaeological excavations have shown that this site has subsequently experienced the influence of the Romans and Greeks.

From this viewpoint, at the end of the Caisses de Jean-Jean, it is possible to admire not only the peak of Opies to the east, but especially the plain of Crau to the south, stretching before your eyes in an endless view. Here, you can distinguish a patchwork landscape composed the Golf de Servanes and different cultivations (olive groves, vineyards, fruit trees), separated by paths and multiple cypress hedges.

This canal, measuring 53km long, was subject to a long process of reflection and design. Designed in 1792, the project will be launched over a century later, in 1914. In a landscape of steppe, it was important to develop human presence and the economy as a hydraulic network irrigates the territory to help the crops survive. This canal supplies all to itself the southern part of the Alpilles.

If the village only had its church and a few houses in the 19th century, it is at the center of a territory that includes the most beautiful farmhouses in the Camargue: the painted farmhouse, the Cazeau tower farmhouse. This sector specializes in the breeding of herds of bulls and the cultivation of rice, including organic rice. There is also an important private research center on the flora and fauna of the marshes, the biological station of the Tour du Valat.

In the heart of Mérindol, a small village at the foot of the Luberon, Sébastien and Mathieu offer a menu of wood-fired Provencal specialities. Among the specialties, we recommend the semi-cooked tuna in virgin sauce, with tomatoes and local olive oil, accompanied by snow peas, peas and carrots. You can also try the tender, flavorful onglet de boeuf, or the genuine Caesar salad prepared according to the rules of the art, with home-made breaded chicken that will delight fans of authentic recipes. Mère Maury's ravioles from Romans, stuffed with summer white truffles or basil, are a pure delight. Gourmets won't be outdone by the desserts: strawberries in elegant pavlova or simply with homemade whipped cream, artisanal Ardèche ice creams... The bistro's specialty: lavender ice cream, garnished with pine nuts and lavender honey, with a light whipped cream (no need to tell you it's homemade, right?). The bistro has not one, but two shaded terraces! The first, in front of the bistro, is typically Provençal, with its pretty fountain shaded by plane trees. Facing the town hall, you can feel the soul of the village as you listen to the gentle murmur of the water... La dolce vita is just around the corner. The second is on the charming patio.
