From Vauvray: turn left, cross the hamlet and climb to the Fouettaz. Very quiet road, little traffic, wide panoramic view over the Mont-Blanc chain. About 2h. Possibility to continue after Ormaret village in the direction of the Cry (viewpoint indicator, restaurants). About 3h.

Course N°4 black "Cassioz" Course for good trailers, on a area benefiting from a magnificent view on the Mont Blanc. Some undergrowth parts. From the Télécabine du Jaillet take the direction of Vauvray via Odier. Leave on the left towards the Fouettaz then climb to the Chalet de la Vielle and the Petit Ravine (restaurant). Continue in the direction of the Télécabine du Jaillet, then go to the Col du Jaillet and follow the path of Tétras-Lyre. At the end of the trail, very fast descent to reach the paved road to the bridge. From there take the footpath that runs along the Luge 4S.

This trail is perfect to begin jogging or for getting back in shape. It is a very easy trail, mostly on a tarred road which starts at the Palais des sports and directs you to the hights of Demi-Quartier. Take the route de la plaine road that runs along the car parks in front of the Sports Centre. Shortly after the tennis court, take the chemin des ânes path on the right, which joins the national highway. Cross it and follow it on the left to the Retornes path, on the right and keep on going until you reach the route du petit bois. After a loop through the Petit Bois/Princesse sectors, get back to the national highway at Pont d'Arbon and take the Chemin des ânes on the right. Continue straight on at the Jaillet roundabout (Sports Centre on the left) to go around the Sports Centre via the Cavalière Alley, which takes you back to the starting point.

One way up Beauregard, Pertuis and Jouty chairlifts to reach Croisse-Baulet, an off-piste, not secured and not marked itinerary. The presence of a ski instructor or a mountain guide is highly recommended, particularly when considering an excursion into an 'off-piste' area. Pay close attention to the snow conditions and weather forecasts. Do not forget to take with you an avalanche transceiver (Arva in french), a snow shovel and a probe. Before going, tell someone where you are planning to go. In mountain, each detail has its own importance. Even if the Crève Cœur itinerary is marked, secured and in an area where the avalanche risk is non-existent, make sure you have all the necessary equipment in your backpack. When you are climbing along ski slopes, please stick to the right hand side, and be aware of those around you.

Easy walk offering fantastic views over the village, Mont Blanc and Chamonix aiguilles. Take the Jaillet gondola (open only during the summer season). Out of season, you can take the pedestrian path of the Petite Ravine or the TPMB. From the top station, a path follows the “Les Près” ski slope downhill to the left, into a fir-tree forest, where it joins the forest track. It leads to a walk in the woods, and then goes along and crosses the slope Bel Ava. At the end, keep going down on the Jaillet road, with great views overlooking Megeve and Mont Blanc range.

A family-friendly ski area, located between alpine forests and mountain pastures, facing the beautiful Mont-Blanc massif, the Aravis and Fiz ranges. Access is possible from three different villages; Combloux, Le Jaillet (Megève) or La Giettaz. "Les Portes du Mont-Blanc" between 1020m and 1930m of altitude includes the villages of Combloux, Le Jaillet (Megève), La Giettaz, and Cordon (no access by ski). There are 29 ski lifts: 1 gondola, 8 chairlifts, 17 button lifts and 3 magic carpets, giving access to 64 slopes: 8 black, 28 red, 17 blue and 11 green. It also includes 1 boarder crosses, 11 mountain restaurants and 13 restaurants at the bottom of the ski slopes! You will also find 18 picnic spots, 2 indoor picnic rooms (at the bottom of the slopes in Combloux and at the top of Jaillet gondola) and 4 sledge slopes. The ski area is accessible to disabled skiers and has made a variety of improvements to help them exploring the slopes. Several chairlifts have been adapted and 7 button lifts are suitable for those using uni-ski or dual-skis.

Located at the Hermitage, this museum, inaugurated in 2013, is an interpretation centre for the Calvaire site. Built between 1840 and 1878, the Calvary is the work of one man, Father Ambroise Martin (1791-1863), parish priest of Megève from 1820 until his death. Formed of 14 chapels and oratories telling the Passion of Christ, the Calvary site of Megève is a listed historical monument on the additional inventory since 1988. It is also registered on the European list of sacred Mounts. Between 2001 and 2011, huge restoration works gave back its original aspect to the site. The museum area traces the history of restoration work on the historic monument site, and offers a virtual tour of the chapels. The graphics room features a temporary art exhibition.

The Reverend Ambroise Martin, parish priest of Megève from 1820 until his death in 1863, devoted his faith, his fortune and his strength to what remained his life's work: building a Calvary similar to the one in Jerusalem. Designed and erected between 1840 and 1878, the Megève Calvary was first and foremost the work of one man, Father Ambroise Martin (1791 - 1863), the parish priest of Megève from 1820 to his death. In an idyllic setting, it is composed of 15 chapels and oratories depicting the stations of the Way of the Cross from Jerusalem to Golgotha. The different religious edifices, combining all the architectural styles of the past, are home to about 50 life size painted wooden statues together with frescoes and "trompe-l'oeil" paintings. This combination of architecture, sculptures and paintings evokes astonishingly realistic images of the life and passion of Christ. And in former times this collection of buildings became such an important place of pilgrimage that for a long time Megève was given the name of the "Savoyard Jerusalem". Today it is listed as an Historic Monument, representing a reminder of the past for locals, a pleasant walk for holiday-makers, and offering everyone a wonderful panoramic view over the upper Arly valley and the Mont-Blanc. Important work carried out between 2001 and 2007 has restored the Calvary to its former glory. The chapels and oratories have been carefully restored, both inside and out, and the surrounding grounds landscaped giving the appearance of the the X1Xth century countryside.

The Belle au Bois waterfall is a cannyoning spot and is accessible from the village centre only in summer. 30 meters high. A footbridge gives an easier view point.

There are still a dozen chapels in Megève out of twenty that date back to before the Revolution. Dedicated to Saint Bartholomew and Saint Clair, the Maz Chapel was built in 1614 and rebuilt in 1772. Most of Megève's chapels were erected during the XVII century, on the initiative of the clergy fighting the Reformation, incited by the need to establish a place of worship in each hamlet, and affirm the identity of each. "Les Chapelles et Oratoires" is available free of charge in Megève Tourisme.

The most stunning Alpine peaks are reflected in the water mirror created by this reservoir... At the water's edge, meditative nature lovers will be captivated by the beauty of the mountains around this structure which, from spring to autumn, is an attraction for hikers and cyclists and, in winter, a great place for skiers to take a break. From spring to autumn, sports enthusiasts can reach the site via the hiking and MTB trails. Also accessible by chairlift in July & August, when the summer lifts are open (enquire at the Tourist Office for dates and times). Added bonus: as intended by its designer, this work of art was created entirely with local resources and by tradespeople located within a 20km radius.

Accessible without ski lifts, the Bike Park in Combloux opens this summer with free access. Nestling in the heart of the mid-mountain forests, this area is designed for riding, progressing and having fun, all with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc. This summer, you'll be heading for the green loop, a fun and accessible 2.1km route, with steep bends both uphill and downhill. Ideal as a beginner's introduction to mountain biking or a leisurely family outing, it offers a first taste of riding in natural terrain. And this is just the beginning: two blue-level variants, with a series of jumps, are in preparation and will soon complete the adventure.

The mountain refuge of " Le Plan de l'Aar " is a hiking destination offering a very wide panorama at the finish. The hut is run by alpagists who serves meals and picnics to take away (for refuge residents). The children find there all the animals of the farm.
