0/On the right-hand side of the Town Hall, you will notice the first fountain, near the restaurant ‘Le Café’. Leave the cobbled square and head up Quai du Prieuré, which runs alongside the Planay stream (also known as the Cordes), between Allard and Le Hibou Blanc.
1/At the end of this street, you will see the old Lorraine-style bridge of Le Maz. Before the bar “Le St Paul”, turn right up towards the church to discover the church fountain.
2/Retrace your steps, cross the old Lorraine bridge, follow Rue Saint Jean; on the left is the fountain of the “Bistrot de Megève” (in the middle of the restaurant’s terrace).
3/Continue along Rue Saint Jean to Place de la Résistance and its round fountain. Take Rue Charles Feige on the left, pass by the fountain at the “Bistrot de Megève” again and head back towards Place de l’Eglise. Enter the Passage des Cinq Rues, on the right before the Town Hall, which leads into Rue d’Arly, where you will find an old wash house.
Return via the same route.
4/At the ‘Les Cinq Rues’ Jazz Club, turn right and follow Rue du Comte de Capré. Just before the Megève Museum (currently closed), turn left then cross the Passerelle de la Charité (rebuilt in 2025) which spans the Planay torrent (known as the Cordes) and head to the Place de l’Eglise, on the side of the Town Hall.
5/Continue right along Rue Ambroise Martin; the first fountain is on the right. Then, at the junction with Rue de la Poste, you’ll find the Maison de la Montagne fountain (marked by a plaque featuring a goat’s head). Behind you, on the wall of the Maison de la Montagne, is a mural in tribute to Emile Allais (created in 2025 by Swed Oner).
6/Turn left onto Rue de la Poste, walk a few metres, then turn left just before the Glapet stream. Follow the stream, cross the small bridge in front of the tourist office and discover the Glapet fountain.
7/Climb the cobbled steps next to Megève Tourisme. At the top, discover the tourist office fountain.
8/Head down into the Megève Tourisme amphitheatre, cross the stone bridge, then climb back up Rue Monseigneur Conseil towards Place de l’Eglise, where you will discover the sleigh fountain.
