The Pey-Berland tower, a flamboyant Gothic structure built between 1440 and 1466, is the bell tower of Saint-André cathedral in Bordeaux. The spire was constructed in the 19th century and crowned in 1863 by the statue of Notre-Dame of Aquitaine. The huge eight tonne "bourdon", nicknamed Ferdinand-André, was added in 1869. The Port Cailhau, thirty-five metres tall, was integrated into the city walls. In 1864, it was rented by a public letter writer and a person whose job was to weigh salt. They were both evicted in order to renovate the monument. There is a magnificent view of the oldest bridge in Bordeaux, the Pont de Pierre, from here. An exhibition displays the tools and materials used for construction purposes at the time the Porte Cailhau was built and an audio-visual presentation pieced together from old films immerses us in the world of stone masonry.

The Château de Rouillac, a magnificent 19th century chartreuse, belonged to the famous Baron Haussmann who produced an excellent wine. In 2010, Laurent Cisneros, a man of passion, decided to seal his destiny and that of his family in Rouillac. He revived the estate, launched major works, expanded the vineyard and committed himself to a more environmentally friendly agriculture. He associated horses with the history of the estate by rehabilitating the old stables. Today, Château de Rouillac is one of the jewels in the crown of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Located in one of the emblematic places of the City of Gradignan, the priory of Cayac, the museum exhibits works by the great painter of the "Roaring Twenties" in Bordeaux, creator of the Salon des Indépendants, Georges de Sonneville. This is the pretext for discovering the evolution of art in the 20th century from an educational point of view through various exhibitions.

Located in a communal park of 8.5 ha crossed by a river, the relais jacquaire de Cayac, on the road to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, is composed of a church of the thirteenth century, registered in the supplementary inventory of the M.H. and a priory whose buildings have become places of cultural life. The “Ecomusée de la Vigne et du Vin” presents an exhibition of vine and wine tools used between 1850 and 1950. This is a hands-on museum, where visitors are encouraged to touch, feel and taste, where adults and children amuse themselves by trying to find the traces of human handiwork on the vine growers’ tools. Open Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 2pm to 6pm, as well as the second Sunday of each month from 2pm to 6pm.

This 38-hectare wood includes several types of vegetation (maritime pines, deciduous trees, birches, oaks, etc.).
