This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Discover the Acadian church at "Cenan", then follow the Acadian Line, a network of 58 farms built at the instigation of the Marquis de Pérusse des Cars. After a small wood and fields, you come to the village of Bellefonds, continue towards La Chapelle-Moulière and wind your way along the road surrounded by pretty houses to Bonneuil-Matours, where Maurice Fombeure, French writer and poet, is said to have spent his childhood.

In a new gallery this museum also relates a part of French history, through the birth of Louis the Pious, son of Charlemagne in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, at the place called "la Motte", one of Charlemagne's royal villas located at the edge of a path of the Promenade des Marais in Chasseneuil. A window, overlooking the street with a mannequin representing him in warrior costume, in the adjacent gallery one can see the reproduction of his crown and the motte castrale.

This church, whose origin dates back to the 11th century, is located on the banks of the Clain, whose apse dominates the river. If the church can be traced back to the Carolingian period, it is not until 1098 that it appears in the texts. It was extensively reworked during the following centuries.
