Musée La Maison d'Autrefois

In a new gallery this museum also relates a part of French history, through the birth of Louis the Pious, son of Charlemagne in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, at the place called "la Motte", one of Charlemagne's royal villas located at the edge of a path of the Promenade des Marais in Chasseneuil. A window, overlooking the street with a mannequin representing him in warrior costume, in the adjacent gallery one can see the reproduction of his crown and the motte castrale.
