The estacade was buit by the emperor Napoleon III during 1858. Later it was modificated and in 1948 was added a lighthouse. In 1950, a lantern which lightened at 14 miles was built. Nowaday, the estacade measures 189 m 60.

Statue of Our Lady: it was made by the sculptor Lucien Danglade (1851-1951). Notre-Dame Bridge: on the bridge, one crosses the Hossegor canal dug in 1876 to promote the development of the port of Capbreton. The lake of Hossegor thus connected to the sea has become a marine lake, that is to say a lake where sea water enters and leaves with the tides Le Pont de la Halle: this bridge led to the market which was held under the arcades of the old town hall, now the town hall, before it was rebuilt in 1907.
