The Richard Coeur de Lion West cycling loop takes in the rolling roads of western Limousin, in Haute-Vienne, in 4 stages and 10 sections. You'll cycle along the Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire and the V56 and V93 cycle routes. You'll visit the villages of Châlus, Rochechouart and Nexon, with their castles on the Richard the Lionheart discovery route. You'll pass through Limoges, the city with the largest concentration of services and facilities, and then the small villages where life is good, such as Oradour-sur-Vayres, Saint-Martin-de- Jussac, Saint-Priest-sous-Aixe, Aixe-sur-Vienne and Saint-Hilaire-les-Places. You can cycle this loop at your own pace, in sections, stages or all at once, depending on your mood and your cycling skills.

This 10 km path will make you discover the village of Saint-Hilaire, located on the territory of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park. You will walk in the forest and discover the built heritage of the villages of Drouille and Vialotte.

Nexon, is classified 3 Flowers in the National Competition of Flowering. Gateway to the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park, Nexon is also a stop on the Richard the Lionheart Road. The trail takes you on a discovery of the town's natural and architectural heritage.

In the Haute Vallée de l'Isle, lies the charming village of La Meyze. In the heart of this village, you'll find a church. Two chapels, at Notre-Dame du Rocher and in the hamlet of Champsiaux, add to this heritage.

Between ponds and moors, this circuit will make you discover all the treasures of Nexon, the Sirque, the Castle, the equestrian center, the forest and the numerous ponds of which that of the careers. The Romanesque church of Saint-Hilaire was built in the 11th and 12th centuries in the shape of a Latin cross. It is the only domed rural Romanesque church in the département. The barrel-vaulted choir is richly decorated with frescoes, the oldest dating from the late 11th century. Desecrated in 1936 and abandoned until the 1980s, it underwent a major restoration thanks to patronage, and was listed as a Monument Historique in 1973. Its eight bays have been fitted with contemporary stained-glass windows by local painter and enameller Léa Sham's. To continue financing the restoration of this remarkable edifice, concerts and exhibitions are regularly organized by the Patrimoines et Cultures association, which now brings this majestic site to life.

Witness to almost 700 years of history, the Château de Lastours has been restored and enhanced by the volunteers of the Association de Sauvegarde du Patrimoine et de l'Environnement en Limousin. This church was built in Lastours in 1488 on the site of the ancient motte castrale belonging to the Lastours family. There was a wooden castle, then a stone one, the ruins of which can still be seen today. Because of the terrain, it was not built in the traditional sense, i.e. facing the rising sun, but in a north-north-east direction. It was restored in 1827 and a sacristy added at the same time.
