This site comprises blocks of white quartz recognised in 1909 as a Monument and Site of Natural Interest. The site of the Pyrôme rocks used to be inhabited by goblins. According to legend, every year at the stroke of midnight on Christmas Eve, one of the huge blocks of rock would rise up and the goblins would appear offering their treasure, hidden there, to anyone who would agree to give up their place in Paradise. A 2-star gîte with character, in the heart of the Vendée bocage, this superb gîte is designed for a peaceful, relaxing holiday with friends or family. Situated just 30 minutes from the beaches of St Gilles Croix de Vie and 45 minutes from the Puy du Fou, this renovated former barn is perfect for groups of 16 - 18 people maximum.
