A fine mountain meadow with an impregnable view of Mont Blanc, the Aravis range, the Dents du Midi and the peaks of the Vallée d’Aulps. Rearing of Abondance cows by the “Gaec du Mont-Clay” cooperative. Access from le Col de l'Encrenaz (15 minutes by foot) and can also be accessed after a walk from Graydon village (part of the walking route “Roc d’Enfer tour”). Col Ratti, which is the highest point of this Alpine meadow, is easy to reach and presents no technical challenges, and offers a wonderful panoramic view.

The chapel was built in 1679. Demolished during the same year amid disputes relating to pastureland boundaries, it was rebuilt in 1986, exactly as it was, and becomes a pilrimage venue every September. The story behind this chapel goes as far back as 1313, when the villages of Les Gets, Taninges and Samoêns decided to define the boundaries of their respective territories. On the fringes of the Loex plateau, there was disagreement over an area of land known as the "Sax de Jacquiert Curt" which was claimed by all 3 villages. That was the start of a legal battle which lasted... 366 years! In 1679 the court ruling placed the village boundaries in the middle of the famous parcel. Thinking the dispute was settled, the village of Les Gets decided to build a chapel on the part that fell within its territory and a mason from Samoëns began the construction work in June 1679. During the night between 14th and 15th August of that same year, the chapel, close to completion, was demolished by disputers who have never been identified. The chapel's remains were discovered in the sixties by National Forestry officers, following which, the mayors of Les Gets, Taninges and Verchaix suggested the chapel be rebuilt. The population rallied around and the current chapel of Jacquicourt was built between 1986 and 1989 on the foundations of the 1679 version, thus bringing a 600-year conflict to its conclusion.

At the heart of the alpine Graydon pasture, under the hardened eye of the majestic roc d’enfer, you find the little Graydon chapel. It was built in 1859 and then entirely renovated in 2009 The Graydon chapel constructed in 1859, allowed for the parishes of ST Jean d’Aulps and that of Essert Romand, separated a few years earlier to keep a certain link between them. It was in 1902 that the Swiss architect, Goss, constructed the entrance porche where two Capitals where added that came from the Aulps Abbey. The chapel in consecrated to the immaculate conception is today a place of celebrations and all through the summer season the parish celebrates a mass every Wednesday You can get there from Essert Romand or from the little hamlet called Valette at St Jean d’Aulps

At an altitude of 1660m, Lac de Roy is the crossroads of numerous hikes and an ideal place for hikers to take a break and admire the panoramic view of the Mont Blanc range. Lac de Roy occupies the cirque of an ancient glacier suspended high above Le Praz-de-Lys. In summer, the setting is very welcoming and relaxing. Away from the throngs of tourists, surrounded by cows, you'll spend a pleasant moment admiring the Mont-Blanc chain. Easy 30-minute walk from Praz de Lys.

The Chevrelles restaurant is located on Mont Caly, at an altitude of 1490m, a few kilometers above Les Gets. The view over the region and the Mont Blanc massif is spectacular. It's in an authentic decor, an old farmhouse transformed and tastefully decorated, that you can taste traditional dishes: tartiflette, reblochonnade, raclette, fondue, Savoyard plate, soup, blueberry tart ... The restaurant has a small covered terrace, a large lawn with tables in summer, as well as 3 small welcoming rooms to receive its clientele of hikers, skiers, tourists. It is strongly recommended to reserve a table if you are more than 2. Located on the route of the GR5, GRP Dents blanches and Tour du Haut Giffre, the Golèse refuge is a starting point for many hikes, and you can stay here for one or more days in charming rooms or dormitories. Accessible to all from the age of 5 in 1h30 (600m ascent), the refuge was completely rebuilt in the 90s. The Baud family, who own the refuge, have been welcoming you for over 25 years to this charming alpine setting. Along the trail, you'll discover a rich variety of mountain plants and, if you're discreet, all the wild fauna of our mountains. This autumn, come and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors and a fine meal of game. This winter, the ascent will be groomed and you'll be able to access the refuge on snowshoes or cross-country skis.

The chalet is close to Morillon (10 min) in the Grand Massif, as well as the ski areas of Portes du Soleil (25 min), Praz de Lys Sommand (25 min) and Chamonix (35 min). You'll appreciate the typical style of this fully renovated converted farm dating from 1738. The chalet stands in a small hamlet of 14 chalets, at a very quiet road-end location. With 5 bedrooms each sleeping 2 to 6 guests (maximum 15 people), you'll enjoy a warm welcome with your partner, group or friends. Accommodation with or without half-board. All four bedrooms have their own shower and washbasin and 2 have their own toilet. There is also a shared upstairs toilet. The Avocamp consists of 4 large canvas bivouac tents, each accommodating up to 5 people, totaling a maximum of 20 people. In 2 tents, sleeping is on inflatable mattresses, in the other 2 on camp beds: you can choose the one you prefer! The rental is offered for one complete tent. You do not share your tent with others. However, if you only reserve one tent, the second tent may be occupied by another group at the same time as you. Equipment available for each tent: 5 inflatable mattresses or 5 single camp beds with disposable protective covers, 1 battery-operated camping lamp, 1 outdoor metal storage trunk, 1 20L water container.

A friendly, family-run mountain pasture. We'll be delighted to welcome you for a restful night in our refuge (dormitory only) or for a simple, generous meal in our inn (lunchtime only, preferably by reservation). The Chardonnière refuge is located on the GR5 - GR96 route and is recommended for nature lovers. It is above all the alpine pasture for our herd of dairy cows. Here you'll find a warm, simple welcome, a generous, hearty meal cooked to the highest standard with products from our farm, and a night's sleep lulled to sleep by the sound of clarines.
