After several years of restauration, this major site of the regional historical heritage opens you its doors.Immerse yourself in the history of Bouteville Castle! Thanks to an innovative and playful scenography, retrace the thousand years of history lived by this emblematic castle of Charente, in the heart of the Grande Champagne, 1st cru of the cognac appellation. Dynamic model, video projections and interactive terminals punctuate the visit to make discover to the visitors the retrospective of the castle. Child devices complete the visit to delight both young and old.

Since the 17th century, the GIRAUD family has handed down a legacy of tradition from father to son.Cognac Paul Giraud incarnates afour-century long family story in the small village of Bouteville in the heart of Grande Champagne. One of the last farms in the Cognac area to perpetuate the tradition of the harvesting by hand to reveal the aromas of this beautiful terroir. We mericulously distillate to obtain the caracteristic "Bouquet of Bouteville" wich improve slowly and quietly through a very long ageing in French oak barrels. We offer a range of very traditional and typical Cognac from Grande Champagne.

A tailor-made 2-hour walk on the estate to discover COGNAC between wash-houses, springs, wells and streams.Especially for you, we will open the door to one of our cellars. Time will be suspended, and you will become the guardian of this magical place as you sample directly from the barrel two exceptional and not yet marketed cognacs ageing among some of our finest eaux de vies. The tasting continues in the living room of the family home. Many surprises await you along the way.

The Compagnie de Bouteville combines culture and flavors during an outdoor visit on the history of the village of Bouteville combined with discovery of the factory of its artisanal French balsamic vinegar made in the heart of the 1er cru of Cognac.During the visit, guests discover the history of Bouteville at the foot of the castle with a breathtaking view of the vineyard then join the Fabrique du Baume de Bouteville, to discover its history, the five stages of its production to finish with a tasting You will be offered a tasting at the end of the tour.

Partez à la découverte de l’église de Bouteville, reconstruite au 17ème siècle par Louise de Luxembourg qui fut la propriétaire du château de Bouteville et des cognacs Paul Giraud.Cette église millénaire a été reconstruite au 17ème siècle par Louise de Luxembourg qui fut la propriétaire du château de Bouteville avec son époux Bernard III Béon du Massès. Une découverte entre pages d’Histoire et magnifiques fresques médiévales. Cette visite sera suivie par la découverte des cognacs Paul Giraud, de la culture à la distillation d’un savoir-faire ancestral. Quelques cognacs vous seront présentés à la dégustation (L'abus d'alcool est dangereux pour la santé. A consommer avec modération.) Un interlude musical composé d’un ensemble vocal et d’un piano du Conservatoire de Grand Cognac interprètera quelques morceaux de musique au cours de la soirée.
