Description

All along the trail, and particularly at the Col des Pradets, there are beautiful views of the Luchon valley and the surrounding peaks.

Start at the entrance to the village of Moustajon (from Luchon). The trail climbs through the forest, then descends to the pretty village of Cazarilh to return to the starting point.

Histoire et architecture: Eglise de Cazarilh-Laspènes

Cet édifice de style roman date des XIe et XIIe siècles, est inscrit au titre des monuments historiques depuis le 18 novembre 1926. L'église présente une architecture caractéristique de l'époque romane, avec une nef rectangulaire orientée est-ouest, prolongée par une abside semi-circulaire décorée de bandes lombardes. Le clocher carré s'élève au-dessus de la dernière travée de la nef, côté nord.

- At the entrance to the village of Moustajon (coming from Luchon), take the path climbing up to the left. This climbs in regular switchbacks through the woods. During the climb, take advantage of a few gaps in the trees to admire the landscape.
2 - Higher up, you reach the Col de Pradets (1090m). Magnificent views of Luchon and the 3000 Luchonais. Continue along the path towards Cazarilh.
3 - You pass a pigeon farm and then the path descends to Cazarilh (971m). Turn left and go through the village.
4 - Start heading downhill towards Luchon. A short while later, at the crossroads, turn left. After a very short climb, the descent continues through the woods.
5 - Almost at the bottom of the valley, turn left towards Moustajon to return to your starting point.
