PC 42 - ESCALETTE

This route will take you to the Escalette plateau and its summer pastures. Your efforts will be rewarded with a breathtaking view (if you still have the breath) of the Aneto, the highest peak in the Pyrenees, and the timeless Garonne valley below.

This loop begins with a climb up a forest track, which at first glance is not particularly difficult but can prove exhausting in hot weather. You will descend via a fairly technical path through the woods, which will take you back to the Col de Menté and the Mourtis resort.
