Continue along the entire ridge on a very clear path. It goes up and gets close to a borderland. Go up Soum du Coutchet de Planté After the mountain pass, go down a path and get back onto the road. Go along the tarmac for 100m and walk left, staying on the ridge line. The path disappears so go straight up until you reach the edge of a forest. Follow the fir forest towards Pic d'Anie on the right. Get back on a path, still on the edge of the forest, and go down to reach a track. Walk until you reach the Col de Serre Benou.
Fork left at the Col de Serre Benou onto a lovely winding path. Carry on for 2.2km and continue to the left in the right angle bend at the Coutchet de Planté (1387m).
Go up the pebbly track that isn't too steep at the start. Ignore the one on the left further up. Continue until the road. Follow the roadside on the right to get back to the Issarbe resort car park.
