Pont d’Ouilly Loisirs: much more than just a leisure centre! As a non-profit organisation under the 1901 Act, Pont d’Ouilly Loisirs has been developing a unique project for over 30 years, combining sport, nature and community spirit in Suisse Normande. Set in the heart of a hilly region where the natural environment remains unspoilt, we invite you to discover the joys of outdoor sports in Suisse Normande! For schools, holiday clubs, medical and social care organisations, or even works councils… the Pont d’Ouilly Outdoor Centre offers a wide range of sporting activities: canoeing and kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, mountain biking, archery, orienteering, rock climbing, a treetop adventure park, fishing, environmental activities, themed walks, geocaching and a touring holiday for teenagers. Set in stunning surroundings, the leisure centre also offers group accommodation to suit all needs and budgets: two group gîtes with 36 beds each, as well as a campsite with 250 pitches. For all our accommodation options, you can choose between self-catering or full board. Pont d’Ouilly Loisirs also offers canoeing and kayaking trips for individuals: one- or two-hour trips on site, or a 5–13 km descent of the River Orne between Pont d’Ouilly and Clécy. You can also visit the “Orne Aventure” tree-top adventure course at La Roche d’Oëtre. Revenue from tourism activities directly contributes to funding the social and educational initiatives run by the association in the local area.

Rising to a height of 263m, the Croix de la Faverie dominates the Orne Valley. The view from here is exceptional: the meandering Orne, the Viaduc de la Lande (1866), the wilderness of the Rochers des Parcs, the banks of the Orne. The Viaduc is overlooked by the Voie Verte, and is also a stop-off point for the Vélo Francette, the Eurovéloroute linking Ouistreham to La Rochelle. 3 km hike "La Croix de la Faverie" available from the Suisse Normande tourist office.

The River Orne runs along the foot of the steep cliffs, dominated by a rock known as Pain de Sucre. The "route des crêtes" atop the Houle rocks offers superb panoramic views of the Suisse-Normande region. This sensitive natural area can also be explored on hiking trails (GR36). If you wish to eat, take a break, have a drink in a green setting, at the foot of the greenway, on the terrace or in the dining room, La Pomme d'Happy offers you homemade dishes and desserts made with fresh, local, organic and short circuit products. For meals with family, friends or work colleagues, the Pomme d'Happy can accommodate up to 27 people in the dining room or more on the terrace if the weather permits. According to the days and opening hours of the restaurant, it is possible to eat from 10 am to 6 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm (arrival time). The Fosses d'Enfer Cultural Centre in Saint-Rémy-sur-Orne, formerly the Mining Museum, now houses a library, an art lending library and a contemporary art exhibition space.

Several attractions on site: marked walking routes, picnic area, pond, animal park, arboretums with forest species and special collections, "Olivet" feudal mound (alongside the GR36, archaeological site) and mountain biking route.

Located on the outskirts of Caen, this sensitive natural area is a vast preserved wetland that can be visited via over 3 miles of marked pathways. Free access from Louvigny (village hall car park) or from Caen (La Cavée viaduct car park).
