Located in the heart of the Camargue Regional Natural Park in the Bouches du Rhône department, at the gates of Arles and Saintes Maries de la Mer, this 4.5 hectare campsite benefits from choice halfway between the interior of Provençal lands ( Baux de Provence, Saint Remy de Provence) and the Mediterranean coast (Saintes Maries de la Mer).
The road to Santiago de Compostela recalls the apostle James (present during the life of Jesus) who was beheaded around 41-44. It was not until the reign of Charlemagne and Alfonso II the Chaste (759-842) that his tomb was discovered. Many faithful pay homage to him on this road. The Via Tolosana from Arles is one of the four routes to the Tomb of Santiago.
Sale at the farm. Producer (apples, pears, pomegranates, fruit juice, olive oil)
Today the Pays d'Arles vineyard covers around 1,000 hectares. Twenty-five winegrowers have come together as a union and cultivate traditional grape varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan) which they have associated with noble grape varieties (Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet, Caladoc, Marselan, etc.). Some areas are in organic or sustainable agriculture. The search for quality and novelty has resulted in a varied range of quality wines, offering the three colors: red, white and rosé. The “Values of the Camargue Regional Natural Park” brand is awarded to Camargue winegrowers who respect the specificities of this fragile territory where environmental issues are high.
