E-bike lake tour from Alpe d'Huez

This beautiful ride takes you gently from lake to lake, offering a succession of lovely views over the surrounding valleys and mountains. You can either stay on the wide tracks or return via a singletrack path. The choice is yours!

ITINERARY

From Alpe d'Huez, take the road to the top of the resort and follow signs for Lac Besson. At the "Plages des Neiges" restaurant take the track to the right that goes under the station of the first leg of the cable car and head for the track along the cliffs. Continue along this track to l'Alpette and the middle station of the Vaujany cable car. You can then either return on the same track or take XC track no.11 that goes up and down along the lakes (Carrelet, Faucille, Besson and Noir). Take care as the path may get tricky depending on which of the many options you take, but make sure you stay on the waymarked trail.
You then return via the Lac Besson road.
Alternatively, you can take the Grandes Rousses cable car and start your itinerary from the middle station, 2,100 metres above sea level.
