Description

Walk in the midst of mountains like the ones you dreamt of as a child, those that you used to draw before you'd ever seen them. With a rich palette of colours, from the green of alpine pastures to the turquoise of mountain lakes in which the eternal snows of Mont Blanc are mirrored.

Walk into the heart of the mountain of your childhood dreams, the one
that we draw without ever having seen it.

The palette of colors is generous, from the green of the pastures where the herds graze, to the turquoise of the high-altitude lakes where the eternal snows of Mont Blanc are reflected.
snow of Mont Blanc.

A real postcard, this tour of the Beaufortain invites you to discover an authentic terroir, from the flavors of its famous Beaufort to the traditional habitat of its villages clinging to the slopes.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

3/ The path winds through the reed beds of Les Prés, past the chalets, then down to the tapped spring, crossing the pastures of La Balme. Continue to the confluence of the stream flowing down from the Jovet lakes, then climb towards the tumulus. Cross over to the Col du Bonhomme, then continue to the refuge de la Croix du Bonhomme (2433 m).
Passing close to the Chalet de La Balme, you can compose your itinerary at a different pace.

Highlights: After the pass, admire the impressive Gittes ridge and the Gittaz dam
below. Brave climbers will be rewarded with the Tête Nord des Fours (+ 323 m/1h). From the summit, Mont Blanc seems so close you'd think you could touch it.

Animals

Yes. Dogs are allowed in unregulated natural areas. However, we advise you to keep your pet on a leash around the herds, so as not to disturb the wildlife.
