The Haute-Meuse Archaeological Museum is designed as a real walk along the banks of the Meuse and its tributaries, a space where the land meets the museum. With or without a guide, visitors can easily immerse themselves in a journey through time from the heart of Prehistory to Late Antiquity, thanks to the numerous archaeological remains that they will discover throughout their museum journey. Young and old alike can set off to meet their ancestors, in an immersive intimacy with archaeological objects dating back several dozen centuries. Organised on two levels, the museum offers a real wander through the rooms like a navigation along the Meuse, going back in time to the history of a rich and fascinating regional and national archaeological heritage. The MAHM is also a series of temporary exhibitions, which vary throughout the year and which invite you to explore other, sometimes little-travelled, paths in archaeology.
