Les jolis fous

A magnificent example of Romanesque architecture, with its octagonal tower featuring geminated bays, arched with tri-lobed arches, rare in Lorraine. The semicircular apse on a square plan is reminiscent of the Cistercian plan and dates from the 13th century. Also worth seeing is the 14th-century Vierge à l'Enfant (Virgin and Child) in Jaumont stone.

Recreated at the dawn of the year 2000 to designs by landscape architect Louis Benech, the garden at Pange enhances the estate's rustic spirit and the harmony of the landscape. While the regular structure is in keeping with the classic lines of the residence, the planting is contemporary in spirit, combining wild meadows and rooms of roses and perennials. The driveway, which follows the winding course of the river Nied, leads the visitor into the romantic park with its three-hundred-year-old oak trees. The Pange garden has been awarded the "Jardin Remarquable" label.
