Départ du panneau « Info Rando » au centre du village. Suivez la petite route derrière la place puis continuez sur la piste. Traversez le ruisseau des Grilles et montez face au verger. Aux premiers cerisiers, empruntez la large piste sur la gauche puis prenez à gauche au pylône électrique.
Le sentier suit le ruisseau de l’Ecouta en sous-bois jusqu’à un petit pont de pierre. Montez le chemin agricole à gauche.
Rejoignez Barlet puis empruntez la petite route en face en direction des Perrines. Quittez-la 150m plus loin pour le chemin de droite. Vous passez en bordure d’un étang. Au carrefour, prenez en face en direction des maisons du Creux du Lac.
La large piste aboutit à une petite route. Suivez-la sur 150m.
Passez à proximité des granges puis du château de Bayard. Coupez la RD267 et suivez le chemin en face. 150m plus loin, tournez à droite, suivez toujours le chemin puis la route tout droit. Prenez ensuite à droite la petite route de Bras. Un chemin débute derrière la maison et vous emmène à travers les prés jusqu’au croisement suivant.
Suivez le chemin puis la route en face. Au croisement suivant continuez tout droit. Empruntez ensuite la route de Picot.
Suivez le chemin puis passez le pont sur la route nationale pour rejoindre le centre de Peaugres.
Vous êtes sur le GR de Pays du bassin d’Annonay. Après avoir repassé la route d’Annonay prenez à droite et suivez le grand chemin. A la route, prenez à gauche puis de suite à droite. A la croix, suivez la route qui descend à droite jusqu’au Château des Célestins. Longez-le et retrouvez le village.
Célestin castle-monastery, established by Cardinal Bertrand, was the headquarters and the refuge of the Catholics. The Célestin convent was destroyed by the Huguenots in 1560, then reconstructed in 1655.
