Immerse yourself in art and nature at Aigoual! This circuit reveals regularly renewed installations inspired by nature and the landscapes of Mont-Aigoual. A total of 12 works installed on an 8km loop.Les Balcons de l'Aigoual" land-art trail Here, artists portray the human/nature relationship and confront the climatic phenomena of the Aigoual. The works are therefore constantly evolving. Art inserted into nature returns to an essential source of artistic creation: observation and inspiration by nature. This itinerary allows visitors to cross different atmospheres and places, suggesting a sensitive and intimate approach to nature. Edition 2024: three new works on the trail: "Folies" by Elodie Cabos, "Rideau de pluie" by Yoann Crépin and "Regards" by Matthew Burton. The Aigoual summit walk extends to the Hort de Dieu arboretum, with the work of "France-Lan Lê Vu": "Avec mes yeux" ("With my eyes"). to Trèves, Lanuéjols and Saumane, communes which also feature emblematic Cévennes landscapes. These works are all accessible by footpaths or beautiful cycling routes. In the center of the village of l'Espérou, the Proxi grocery store welcomes you all year round!Fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, charcuterie, local produce, frozen foods, sweets, bread and pastries. Family-friendly mid-mountain ski resort on the slopes of the Aigoual massif. At the Col de Prat-Peyrot, multi-activities all year round: hiking, horse-drawn carriage rides, electric-assisted mountain biking, horse-riding, accrofilet.Winter season - altitude 1440 m: 13-hectare ski area. Come and discover the Mediterranean slopes of Mont Aigoual, home to moufflons and many other wild species. Don't forget your binoculars, you'll have a chance to observe the mouflons.Reintroduced in the middle of the last century, the mouflon is today one of the emblematic species of the Aigoual massif. But the 250 or so individuals that inhabit this part of the National Park are not so easy to observe! At the Observatoire de la Faune Sauvage et du Mouflon, located on the Départementale 986 between the villages of Val d'Aigoual and Espérou, you can scan the steep Mediterranean slopes in search of these animals, as well as the many other wild species that inhabit the forests and rocky crags on this side of the massif. Every Tuesday in summer, the Maison du tourisme et du Parc national des Cévennes offers you the chance to immerse yourself in nature and discover the mouflons, accompanied by a guide. Sur un terrain boisé dans un environnement naturel, à deux pas du village de l'Espérou, venez séjourner dans notre aire naturelle de camping. Bloc sanitaire. Le camping est ouvert du 7 juin au 14 septembre.Découvrez les nombreux sites de la région : Musée du changement climatique du Mont-Aigoual, Abîme de Bramabiau, Gorges de la Dourbie ainsi que de nombreuses activités de pleine nature : randonnées, VTT, randonnées avec ânes, chevaux, orientation, pêche, baignade... Commerces au centre du village de l'Espérou. Pour la tranquillité des usagers du camping, merci de laisser votre véhicule à l'entrée si vous rentrez après 23h. Animaux en laisse acceptés. Le camping ne prend pas de réservations, installez vous et quelqu'un viendra vers vous dans la journée ou soirée.
