On the site of a charming 19th-century Vosges farmhouse, Jean-Baptiste and Catherine welcome you to a comfortable, bright, renovated gîte for 10 to 13 people, set in peaceful surroundings (easy access). Semi-detached house 200m²: Ground floor: large living room with dining area, sitting area (2 sofas, 1 armchair, 1 bench seat) and fully equipped kitchen (ceramic hob, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, etc.). 1 bedroom for people with reduced mobility with 1 bed 160x200 p. + 1 bed 90x200, private bathroom and shared WC. Upstairs: 1 relaxation area with library, billiards room, 4 bedrooms (2 bedrooms with 1 x 160x200 bed and 2 bedrooms with 1 x 160x200 bed + 1 x 90x200 bed) each with 47" flat-screen TV, bathroom or shower room with walk-in shower and private WC. Inaugurated for the Assumption in 1860 and consecrated three years later, Saint-Amé church is dedicated to Saint Amé de Remiremont, founder of Saint-Mont, and to Saint Blaise. The interior was refurbished in 1905 to showcase its rich heritage. The first church, a chapel built at the end of the 14th century, was the parish church for three centuries. In 1729, a second church, too small, was built. In 1858, major work began by Léon-Charles Grillot, then revised by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, with funding from Napoleon III. Completed in 1863, the church is neo-Gothic in style, with a 61-metre spire topped by an imperial crown. Its furnishings, including a romantic organ dating from 1883 and a 15th-century Virgin and Bird, have been listed as Historic Monuments since 1995.

he statue of the Virgin Mary, erected in Plombières on 15 August 1855, symbolises the protection of the town, which was spared the cholera epidemics of 1831 and 1874. Legend has it that the town's prayers were answered. Every 15 August, the town lights up with a thousand fires and pilgrims, torches in hand, pay homage to the statue. Modelled by Lyon sculptor Fabish, it is a replica of the statue at Fourvière and stands 2.13 metres tall in cast iron. Since its installation, every 15 August, a procession has taken place in Leadières, torches in hand.

The Coteau de la Vierge: History and panorama Overlooking Plombières-les-Bains, the Coteau de la Vierge offers a magnificent panorama. At the summit, the Saint-Joseph chapel (1858) features a neo-Gothic style, a marble altar and votive offerings dedicated to the Virgin. The statue of Notre-Dame des Eaux, erected in 1855 after the town escaped cholera, is a cast-iron work by Fabish, a replica of the Virgin of Fourvière. Every 15 August, a torch-lit pilgrimage pays homage to her. A path links the hillside to the Notre-Dame des Champs chapel.
