Trail accessible in winter.
This easy forest walk includes a more challenging alternative route leading to the hilltop hamlet of Montmajou. You’ll walk alongside the Pique, a tributary of the Garonne.
The route starts at the northern entrance to the village of Antignac, near the level crossing (signposted). You head uphill through the forest and then on to Cier-de-Luchon. Return via the same route.
1 - The trail starts at the northern entrance to the village of Antignac, on Chemin Sascordes, not far from the level crossing (signpost no. 67). You will quickly pass through a gate and continue straight ahead on a wide track. The track then becomes a path through the woods with two short climbs.
2 - After a short descent, you will reach a track; turn right. The track on the left climbs up to Montmajou. You will then arrive at the entrance to the village of Cier-de-Luchon.
5 - Return via the same route.
