Hiking : Le Hameau Rif Bruyant

Sommet emblématique de la Matheysine et du Valbonnais, le Tabor culmine à 2389 m d'altitude. de là-haut vous aurez une vue imprenable sur le Grand Serre tout proche ainsi que sur le Taillefer plus au Nord.

Beautiful forest, dangerous in winter, ideal for a walk in summer. Torrent, hiking paths and waterfall on the South-facing hillside .Forest nice and cozy in summer, which extends on north side of the range of Armet. In the thalweg, at the end of the valley, the forest reaches the Roizonne river supplied by many streams that do not flow anymore after thaw. This forest is freshness haven where it´s good to walk all year round, except in winter, as many avalanches make it dangerous. The elders would tell many stories about "Carcaris", naughty little people who colonized this site. It´s also a passway to reach the magnificent alpine meadow of "Col Plan" or cottage "Comboursiere", at Armet's feet.

Small mountain lake, pretty and interesting. Fishing possible.It´s an easy place to access, but that also can be reached walking from the resort. Beautiful little lake surrounded by fir trees, easy accessible by forest tracks from Alpe du Grand Serre.Lake Poursollet is 1649 m high in the massif of Taillefer. Near a small village, it is easily reachable by the 114B road named Poursollet road from La Morte. There is a strong botanical biodiversity with a soil made of carbonate and siliceous essences juxtaposition. Many differents lands (weltlands, peatlands, lakes, and high altitude plains) shelter many different animal and vegetal species. The forest around is home to other variety. Peatlands shelter many amphibians and insects and make a very rich Alps area. The fauna is quite exceptionnal due to many endemic species. A small high altitude lake with beautiful reflections and peatlands on the border. The little hut cannot be usued to spend the night. It is a great place at the heart of the forest of Poursollet.Beautiful mountain lake in the north side of Taillefer, Punay welcomes many species of flora and fauna that is what makes the place special. This lake is easily accessible for hikers who can to drive on a part of the approach. Le cirque du Louvet, situé sur les hauteurs de la station de l'Alpe du Grand Serre au cœur du massif du Taillefer offre l'accès à un superbe cadre naturel. Un lieu végétal, accessible à pied, qui donnera place à la rêverie et à la contemplation.Le cirque du Louvet, situé sur les hauteurs de la station de l'Alpe du Grand Serre au cœur du massif du Taillefer offre l'accès à un superbe cadre naturel. Une cabane y est implantée, laissant la possibilité aux randonneurs de passer la nuit dans cet abri de fortune. Quant aux sentiers de randonnées, ils permettent notamment une belle montée vers le lac du Brouffier, ou vers le lac du Poursollet en passant par le pré des Dames, le lac Claret et le lac Punay. Un lieu d'un calme apaisant à quelques pas de la civilisation puisque l'on peut y accéder en à peine 30 minutes depuis la route du Poursollet.

Rif Bruyant has two great mountain lakes in the middle of an amazing cirque.Located in the mountains of Armet, at the bottom of Coiro, lakes Rif Bruyant are ideal for a hike. A small shed is a few minutes walk. A hiking loop leads you over the lakes and offers a stunning viewpoint over the whole gorge.
