Vaunoire forest

Beautiful forest, dangerous in winter, ideal for a walk in summer. Torrent, hiking paths and waterfall on the South-facing hillside .
Forest nice and cozy in summer, which extends on north side of the range of Armet. In the thalweg, at the end of the valley, the forest reaches the Roizonne river supplied by many streams that do not flow anymore after thaw.
This forest is freshness haven where it´s good to walk all year round, except in winter, as many avalanches make it dangerous.
The elders would tell many stories about "Carcaris", naughty little people who colonized this site.
It´s also a passway to reach the magnificent alpine meadow of "Col Plan" or cottage "Comboursiere", at Armet's feet.
