Hike to Col de Balme from Charamillon cable car

Description
Pass linking France and Switzerland. Particularly beautiful views of the Mont Blanc range, Chamonix valley and Swiss Alps. Alpine pasture in operation.
At the top of the Charamillon gondola, leave the intermediate station on the left, go past the bottom of the ski lift, cross the Charamillon torrent: climb to the right in a large alpine combe amid rhododendrons to reach the pass near the Sources de l'Arve. The chairlift station is on the right.
