Description

A mountain bike loop that can be completed in half a day for seasoned mountain bikers, or longer if you prefer to linger along the way, taking in the vast views.

Enjoy a moment of relaxation on the banks of the Allier. A pleasant two-wheeled ride in all seasons.

Departure: La Pardieu station, Clermont

Difficulties: Gentle terrain and gradual climbs.

Caution! Access to the summit of the Anzelle and Bane puys is forbidden to mountain bikes: fragile environment and unsuitable trails.

A very natural walk, with the Gergovie plateau as a highlight; a compendium of curiosities and history, and a great lesson in regional geography, thanks to the ever-changing views along the way.Note the astonishing puy de Mardoux, a geological curiosity dominating a landscape marked by the civilization of the vine. Departure point: Car park near the square on rue Marcel-Magard, off the main rue de la République / Romagnat Difficulty: 400m ascent from Pérignat; 315m from Romagnat, but a gradual climb with no difficulties.
