Description

Exploring a must-see site on the Millevaches plateau: the Gallo-Roman remains at Les Cars

This path starts in the granite village of Pérols and leads us to one of the most iconic sites of the Millevaches Plateau: The site of Les Cars. These remains are only one of the many places offering evidence of the life of the Plateau in the Gallo-Roman period. One after another, you will pass through hamlets steeped in history: from Ars and its rural heritage (bridge, bread oven, cross...) to Variéras with its thatched cottages, symbolising the renewal and creativity of the Plateau.
