Description
Starting out from Maurens, you can explore Lauragais. This 15km walk is suitable for all levels and takes around 3 hours 40 minutes. Between Maurens and Le Vaux, this round trail will take you to Le Vaux castle, church and castle, Juzes castle and Maurens church.

Detailed stages
1 - 200m further on, turn right and the path becomes grassy.
2 - Turn right after En Barbut farm. At En Bonnet, go straight ahead on a tarmac road. Turn left at the crossroads. Just after La Frayssinette you'll find the junction for the first loop.
3 - Keep going straight for 300m on the road
4 - Then turn left onto a dirt track.
5 - Turn right at the crossroads of the second circular route, then go straight down into the combe and climb back up, turning right. When you reach the road, head back down the valley.
6 - Turn left before the small bridge onto the dirt track that runs alongside the stream. The track then becomes surfaced for 50m.
7 - Still following the stream, turn right onto the road, then first left towards La Bourriette. In a bend, continue on the track opposite which leads to the crest, then down into another valley, where you turn left towards the lake.
8 - Go around the lake to the right, along the shore. At the other end, turn left before the small road that runs alongside the lake. After 300m, turn right at 180° and walk up the grassy path. At the tarmac road, turn left and head up towards the village below the church and cemetery. At the crossroads, leave the village on your right and turn left onto the D72 towards Bélesta, past the two mills.
9 - Take the first track on the right. At the crossroads, turn left and pass under the high-voltage power line. The junction for the second loop is just after the slope.
