This trail will lead you to the discovery of the bread oven, one of the historical vestiges of the Grandes Fougères park. You will also find our treasure hunt.
This 7.6 km trail, which takes 3 hours to complete, is fairly easy. It starts on a wide track with a gentle slope before reaching the cover of the humid forest. After 25 minutes of walking, you will find the "bread oven" vestige of the colonial era and witness of a human presence in this remote area. The trail continues in the forest, you will pass by a bamboo grove after crossing the Mé Péou creek. While continuing your walk in the wet forest, you will join first, the area of the codias (landmark n° 22) then the area of the kaoris (landmark n° 21). You will then cross the beautiful "Houé" river at the level of the Bains de la Houé and return to the reception area by passing in front of the Pompidou Bridge, a vestige of the logging industry of the 1960s.
