Paradise’s Waterfall Trail

A masterpiece of Romanesque civil architecture, unique in the region.It's a place steeped in history, legends, poetry and love... It was named after Adélaïde, daughter of Constance of France and Raymond V, Count of Toulouse. The Countess, married to Raymond-Roger Trencavel, held a court of love here and brought together the greatest troubadours of her time.

A charming waterfall on the Aiguebelle stream, just a stone's throw from the medieval village of Burlats.It takes around 20 to 30 minutes to walk there and back.

One of the longest boulder fields near Lafontasse. The St-Dominique cave is hidden within the jumble of rocks downstream.You enter the St. Dominic Cave through a narrow, hard-to-reach opening. There are two possible route options: a 20-minute route and a 1-hour-40-minute route.

The nave and chancel are now open to the public, while the north side houses the town hall and an exhibition room. Admission is free.The origins of this edifice date back to the 9th century. A Benedictine priory was founded here in the 11th century. Pope John XXII created the collegiate chapter of Burlats in 1318. The collegiate church was partly destroyed during the Wars of Religion and then during the French Revolution. In 1835, the commune bought the ruined parts of the site, which belonged to a private individual, and converted them into housing.

The workshop, which is open to visitors, offers a unique selection of socks made from mohair, merino wool, organic Scottish yarn, yak down or Seacell. This is where you can buy the world’s most durable socks! They also knit woollen jumpers, scarves, gloves, mittens, hats, throws, blankets and more. You’ll find exceptional fibres such as mohair, yak, camel, linen, hemp and merino... Atelier Missegle has held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label since 2016, thanks to its exceptional, carefully preserved craftsmanship. Direct sales in our workshop shop from Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 6pm. Guided tour of the workshop: January to August: free tour on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10.30am – by booking (groups on quotation). September to November: free tour on Thursdays at 10.30 am – booking required (groups on request). December: no studio tours during this period.
