RIVER CRUISE ON THE SARRE CANAL
Description
This river route takes you along the Saar Canal between Hesse and Saarbrücken. After a few kilometres on the Marne-Rhine canal, head north on the former Saar Coal Canal. You will discover the wild ponds of Gondrexange, Stock and Mittersheim. This last village is worth a stop for outdoor activities. After passing through several Alsatian villages, you will reach Sarreguemines, the city of earthenware which is well worth a visit. Once in Saarbrücken, you can't continue north without a boat licence.

PORT DU HOUILLON
Port de plaisance sur le canal des Houillères de la Sarre. Pour les bateaux : sanitaires, accès à l'eau et à l'électricité sur place. Location de vélos électriques, boissons à emporter et petite épicerie.
LE CROCODILE
Un bon café ? Une boisson bien fraiche ? Direction Le Crocodile à Sarralbe ! Ce bar convivial vous ouvre ses portes toute l’année. Bonne ambiance et accueil chaleureux garanti. En été, la terrasse est parfaite pour se prélasser au soleil. Des concerts et manifestations sont régulièrement organisées par le Crocodile. Petit plus : le bar se trouve à deux pas de la piste cyclable.
SARREINSMING’S MILL
It is a splendid three-swings-mill from 1727, restored in 1990, which remains the ‘thing to see’ in this village. Its waterwheel is a delight for the young and old alike.
CASINO DES FAÏENCERIES ET PAVILLON
The Casino des Faïenceries was born out of the desire of Paul de Geiger, director of the Faïenceries, to provide the workers and employees with a place where they could have fun. Next door is the De Geiger Pavilion, which housed the office of Baron Paul de Geiger. Today, it houses an auditorium and beautiful faience frescoes decorate the interior and exterior of the unique building. Stage of the Circuit de la Faïence.
